Well I think it's easy to use if you don't read the manual! Because the manual is a little bit confusing!
So I think if you only power 9V Dc pedals it's very easy to use!

So I'm using the Pedal Power 2 with my setup: MArshall JCM 900 (clean) with my pedalboard and my PRS JH and my Ibanez RG 620! MY pedalboard features: Planet Waves Tuner, Phase 90, Boss BF-2, Boss GE-7, Fulltone OCD, Radial Tonebone Plexitube, Boss DD-5 and an old Ibanez/Rocktron Chorus! All these pedals except the tonebone get their power from the Pedal power 2! And I have to say there is no hum or something like that! It sounds amazing!

Directions are a bit ambigous about the voltage switch use and could be much clearer. Having said that plug in your effects adjust the sag and you are done.

Only had it one day and I purchased after seeing how many pro pedal builders use it in a guitar plyer magazine article. It is worth every penny over other brands as the sag control is great for drive pedals both my fulltone OCD and my vintage TS9 sound great. The reason I needed was I had a combination of wall warts and a one spot and when my OCD was on and I kicked in my delay the voulme jumped, plus the effects really only worked in on line up. Now I can rearrange in any order currently, OCD,budda wah, deja vibe, ts9, delay. All sound great and work in any combo with no wierd voulume jumps or noises.

I am giving it a nine only becuse the cables are a bit too short and the instructions about how the voltage switch works with the different inputs is a bit vague. Having said that it is the best no effect piece of gear since my Switchbone and it makes my pedal board pro level period. The effects all sound as good or better than with the company warts or even batteries.

It's easy to use. You must read the owner's manual. I think the pedals you're using will determine how easy or hard this is to use. If you're running lots of different types of pedals with different types of cable needs, then it gets a bit more complicated but that's not really the pedal power's fault now is it?

Provides clean power to all of my pedals. In fact, I have two of them on my board because my board is quite extensive. 17 pedals are on the board with two of them using AC power from a hidden strip. The remaining 15 get their DC power from the 2 pedal powers that are also hidden under a tier that runs the length of the board. The pedal power is the way to go to get quality power to your pedalboard effects. Hands down.

Awesome. No problems whatsoever. I do wish the supplied cables were a bit longer but I only think this is a problem for people powering bigger boards.

I've called Voodoo Lab a number of times to order different cables of longer lengths and they've always been great to deal with. They're helpful on the phone, they process your order with no hassles, they're prices are fair and they turnaround your order very quickly. Usually within one day. Excellent!

I think this thing is as simple as a 3 knob OD box to use. You read the manual real quick, takes a few min, plug it in and plug the connector cables in. Simple as heck. Mine's never been upgraded or anything like that, and I love the sound of my effects with the PP2 instead of my wall wart with a One-Spot.

I have several guitars that I use, a Gibson Les Paul Classic, a Fender Telecaster Custom FMT, along with the occasional use of my Epiphone Les Paul Jr (That I use to strum around on, it's a fun little guitar) and it deffinatly brings out the most on my effects when I run it with either of my guitars into my '67 Bassman and Orange 4x12. It powers up all my effects, Boss DD-6, EHX Dlx. Electric Mistress, Fulltone '69, Visual Sound Jeckyl and Hyde, Fulltone CYLDE Dlx wah perfectly fine and I don't have to deal with a drop in tone from the One-Spot or anything like that.

I've had it for a few days, just under a week, and I'd say that this thing is really dependable. I think I'd gig without a backup, it comes with plenty of connector cables and it seems pretty sturdy, and it's about as heavy as a small rock. I'm gonna give it a 9 because I haven't gigged with it yet.

I contacted VL through my local store and VL was extremely responsive and they're very nice to me. They're sending my a free positive tipped adapter for my Fulltone '69. 10 for the customer support.

I play alot of rock music and that thing really comes in handy when I'm crankin my amp and I need just as much juice going into the effects as I'm putting on my amp and it delievers alot. VL makes a great product, but, sadly, it only does 9v pedals and not larger voltage boxes like my EHX Dlx. Electric Mistress. I wish I could give it a 9.5, -.5 for the no powering larger voltage pedals, but, there IS a outlet on the back, so, I'm gonna use that I think. So, it gets a 9.5, but, since they don't have .5's, I'm gonna give it a 10.

You really should do your homework on your individual pedals before you use any powersupply. Different pedals have different requirements in areas of polarity, voltage and current.
Once you have and understanding of your pedal power requirements the PP2 is very simple to use. Manual is written in a straight forward conversational maner.
The PP2 has short circuit protection so even if you do mess something up you will only lose the one output - and then only until you reset it to get it back.

Can a power supply have an impact on your sound? You may not think so, but it does - and in a big way - well at least for me.
I have very demanding power requirements ranging from Boss ACA (12.5Vdc) to 18Vdc, I also needed a PS that could supply about 170mA of current at 9Vdc. I am pleased to tell you that the PP2+ can do it all.
Since hooking the PP2 up I have eliminated all the noise in my signal path. I can now use my pedals with the correct voltage and current requirments. All of this contrubuted to an over all improvement in sound! No hiss, even with my compressor and wah.

So far Voodoo Lab has been outstanding. I emailed them with a list of questions and received replies the same day!
They have been very professional and knowledgeable with both their own product and any pedals that I inquired about.
Based on my experiences I have no reservations purchasing this companies products.

The PP2+ is an outstanding product Voodoo Lab really understands this market and has continuously improved on the original design. On that note I did find out that the currently shipping PP2 has an additional capability that is currently not documented. Any units shipped from November 2004 on have the ability to deliver up to 200mA on outputs 5 and 6 in the normal switch position.
This means you can now power pedals like the Boss DD20 Giga delay or any other twin pedal Boss with the PP2. This is absolutely outstanding, and goes to show that Voodoo Lab really are listening to their customers. If you purchased your PP2 in September or October 2004 they may do the upgrade for free. If you have an old PP2 they will do the upgrade for $25US.
I have tried every possible combination with the PP2 ?I have daisy chained a singe output powering 2 or 3 pedals. I have hooked two outputs in both parallel and series to get ether a current increase or a voltage increase, with no problems. BTW Voodoo Lab told me that I couldn?t hook two outputs in parallel to get the current increase but I was doing this to power my DD20 until they told me about position 5 and 6. You may want to try this if you have an older PP2, just go and purchase and daisy chain power cable, you can get these at any music store, put the switches into normal for the outputs your going to use and hook up the first two positions on the power cable and any other position to you high current pedal ? should work fine.
I now have one power supply doing everything, no more wall warts and not hiss. On top of it all the PP2 looks good on your pedal board. You can power much more that 8 pedals with the PP2 just get some daisy chain cables.
Some people say that its expensive, I disagree. For what this thing does it?s a great deal!

I mounted this unit on a Pedal Train Pro pedalboard. I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere, but you can daisy chain from the Pedal Power 2 so as to power more than 8 pedals. The Line 6 outs seem to work best for this. So I've got 13 pedals on the board. It's very quiet with all of them except my Akai Headrush. I don't know why, but the Headrush (not daisychained) produces hum and a slight pulsating sound that coincides with the tap tempo. Otherwise, the PP2 works so well that I've decided just to replace the Headrush with a Boss Gigadelay.

I live in South Korea, and the electricity here is terrible. Even after springing for a voltage regulator, I had a lot of noise problems, partly because of the bad juice and partly because I was using power strips with unisolated outs. The pedals perform better with this unit; each one has become clearer and more individual, so that I feel I have a lot more control over the total sound I'm getting. Considering all the many and often mysterious variables a pedal freak has to contend with, the Pedal Power 2 has to be the best power supply on the market. If you're having noise problems, get one. You won't be sorry.

This is just too easy to use to warrant an explanaiton. It's plug and play. If you have any pedals that require special power sources (and you know if you do, trust me) they'll mail ya what you need, usually free of charge.

This doens't even count, cause there is no sound being produced. I run a Morley Bad Horsie and Little Alligator, an MXR super compressor and 10 band EQ, a Big Muff Pi and Small Clone chorues and a Line 6 Echo Park delay. Now when I pull the patch cable out of my amps input, and plug it back in, there is no difference in background noise whatsoever, at any volume.
There's jut no background noise. Any hiss I now have (which is very little) is coming from my speaker itself, not my effects.

I only wish there were more outlets, in case I want to add effects. I'm almost maxed out as it is, using 7 of the 8 ports. Still, it will run 8 pedals at once, so it costs about 20 bucks per pedal to use it, as opposed to spending at least that on batteries in a month or two. The value is obvious, but even if it cost more, your sound is worth it. Let everyone hear what you play and nothing else.

Here is where this review shines. In response to the previous review, Voodoo Labs can be reached at info@voodoolab.com. I'm not sure where I got that address, but it worked. I had some special needs with power- I have two pedals that are straight-up 9v and a Line6, easy enough, but I also had a Moogerfooger at 9v but requiring reverse polarity, a Maxon pedal running at 12v with reverse polarity, a Holy Grail that needed 300 miliamps and a Fulldrive that I was running at 18v. I emailed Voodoo Labs with my list of questions and got a reply the next day telling me exactly what the PP2 could and could not do in a way that a non-electrical-engineering guy like me could understand. (I got the special reverse polarity cables sent free, paid for a special 18v cable and had to plug the reverb into the courtesy outlet in the back of the PP2.) These guys were super-responsive and extremely helpful. They stand by their product.
