Sounds pretty good. I have a Mexican strat and a little Marshall lead 12 amp, and it sounds decent. Better with distortion than clean.

Like all wah-pedal: isn't there anybody out there who could make this peadel with a more accessible battery-compartment?!

It's classic. Which means beatifull tone and a lot of noise! Had a cry-baby (to short travell) and a Jimi H.Wah (very mouthy but no treble), like this one best: the chrome top makes me play better! I souped it up: put a CTS-pot in it which is longer lasting and has a better taper. Another complaint to VOX (and Dunlop for that matter): PUT A COMPLETE BYPASS SWITCH IN THERE!!!!!! The normal switch just robs your tone of all the transparency. It's nice to keep up my russian by receiving Radio Moskwa!

Just push forward on he pedal and when you hear the click, you're ready to go. VERY easy to use.

Great sound. The only problem was that the treble end was too high and would pick up a radio station. I fixed that by opening it up and adjusting the gear inside.

I'd use it at a gig without a backup.

Great pedal, there's no other like it. I'd buy it again if I had to. Sounds great when playing blues/rock, southern rock, and any Jimi Hendrix stuff.

The Vox Wah-Wah gives the greatest Blues Wah effect and THE Jimi wah-wah effect! and is THE Jimmy Page wah-wah effect! listen to "Catfish Blues" "Mannish Boy" from "Jimi Hendrix:Blues" and "Voodoo Chile (slight return)" and "Communication Breakdown" from Led Zep BBC Sessions...you'll see what i mean....sounds great with: Fuzzface

this is great for blues/rock especialy....by the way dont be fooled by Jim Dunlop's "Jimi Hendrix Wah-Wah" he has no right to make that pedal...if JIMI HENDRIX used a Vox Wah-Wah than a Vox Wah-Wah is a JIMI HENDRIX WAH-WAH

It's a wah.... kick to start, rock to use... how easy can you get?

It sounds really good on the OD channel of my Marhsall VS-65, through my Strat... on the clean channel and with the bridge pickup, the high end screams just a bit too much for my likes

Simple. Tap it once to turn it on and then just rock yer foot to accentuate different frequencies.

It's quiet when its off and the it sounds great when it's on. My only complait is that the higher frequencies aren't accentuated as much as I would like.

When I took off the bottom to put in a battery the circuitry was just floating so I would definantly treat it carefully but I kept it on for a long time when I got it home and the batteries never ran out. I would use it without a backup.

I would buy it again. I wanted the normal version but I ended up getting the chrome plated one which is normally a little more expensive but was all guitar center had and it was on sale. I enjoy it alot, it's made my playing a hell of a lot more creative and is just really cool to use.

I'd buy it again. Has a nice creamy sound not like the thinner Crybabies I've compared it to. Is very useful on lead work.
