All you do is just step on it and it works, step off and it turns off. If you can't figure it out, you've got some major probs.

This pedal kicks some major A$$. I sprinted to the nearest music store, tried it along with the Crybaby, and this thing ripped the Crybaby to shreds. It had a 25% wider range of wah. Its sounds awesome clean, but when used with my amp's distortion (the effects loop sounded like crap) the pedal lost most of the wah, so I whipped out my Ibanez Tubescreamer AFTER the wah pedal, and even though now there is even MORE distrtion, against all rules of physics, common sense, and humanity as we know it, the wah TRIPLED compared to the GREAT clean state. I have a Peavey Bandit 112, and a cheesy, jet fairly nice sounding Ibanez RX 20.

I Just want to add to all the other stuff written about this classic pedal. It does eat batteries if you leave you leads plugged in - it also is impossible to tell if it is switched on or not - and it has a lot of treble. So if you buy one make three mods Firstly - drill a hole in the side and install a sicket for a 9 volt feed and do away with the battery problem forever Secondly - whilst you have your drill in your hand drill another hole in the side and wire up a small light bulb that will indicate if the thing is switched on. Thirdly - as mentioned below - undo the base and adjust the ratchet position so it has less treble

It sounds terrible by todays standards - its noisy, and it has an awful tone. But this is what a VOX Wah Wah should sound like. Dont compare it with anything else because this is the original. This is it - and this is how it should be.

Im playing thru a LP copy and a crappy peavey amp, and it still manages to wail. They only gripe i have is it takes away some of the "bite" when its turned off. Sounds really weird if you put it after the flange/dist. channel on my processer

hell yeah...one of the rubber thingies on the bottom of the pedal part came off.. but i just glued it back on. No need for backup, maybe an A/C adaptor would be nice

I give it an overall 9 because no pedal is perfect, everything has its drawbacks. crybabys dont take away the treble, but their sweep isnt as wide. I would kill if it had an ac adaptor, i tried hooking one up and it gave me some freaky noise (hint hint vox). Works great for the satch i play

Great Sounding Wah, even though I havent tried out a Cryaby yet. Its got a BAD fuz sound when I turned it on for the first time then I turned off the overdrive built in my amp and it worked fine. Definetly has the Hendrix sound.

I just got it so I cant write much here. So far no, help or parts were needed. I would use it with a gig because I found a way to use a Apaptor, get a Universal Apaptor with a 9V plug. Connect it with 9V plug in the Wah. The only prob is the backplate I found if you leave it pretty loose it fits out.

Great sound. I play it through my Fender American Standard and it sounds great. Its got the SRV , Hendrix sound I wanted. I also use BOSS Flanger pedal behind the VOX and it sounds great. i play the VOX through a Crappy Crate GX-15. I have been playing guitar for 4 years. I would Definetley Buy it again,it definetly will beat a Crybaby in my book. Email me if you have any questions or Comments.

definitely better than any other wah I've heard, but I've heard good things about the new Dunlop wah with the "Q" control (but then I don't trust Dunlop products in general, they're made shoddily) I wish it has a LED indicator and an AC adapter I would buy it again because there's no better alternative the chrome is very cool too

This wah pedal is really easy to use. Even someone who is illiterate can work this pedal. All you have to do is get a screw driver, put the battery in and step on the pedal and viola it works.

If your looking for that wailing jimi or srv sound go for this pedal. However the treble is very high in this pedal. High enough that I was able to pick up a couple of radio stations. But if you really want your guitar to scream the vox is for you. This pedal just kicks ass and is essential. Compared to the dunlop series except the 535 chrome, this pedal outdoes all!!! The low end is real chunky. And if you crave the sound of hendrix just add a fuzz face and there you go. One down side to this pedal is that it is noisy as all hell. But it is a small price to pay for good sound.

I got this pedal because I want to get that vintage sound similar to hendrix with the energy and punch of SRV. If I had a chance I would definetly buy this pedal again, I feel that every guitarist needs a wah pedal, especially a vox, because this pedal just kicks ass.

Smooth, but not the greatest all time range. Big prob: not true bypass so you loose some treble when its just sitting there.: My recomendation the FX loop, sure you get more noise, but you don't have to worry about the werid-ness of pre-distortion wah or treble loss

i would gig w/o back up becuz i can't afford back up!! this thing cleaned me out! the casing is solid like a tank, but occassionally, you cut sound if you don;t press QUITE hard enough to turn on or off

i would definatly buy it again. kills the Crybaby. one big advice: adjust the tone, i comes set very treble so: open up the bottom (like cahngeing a battery) and look a the ratchet strip that rotates the tone pot. then unscrew the piece of plastic that holds it in place. roll the pot back to heel for a bassier sound. then reverse the process by locking the teeth together and screwing back in place -- Hey, JUST E-EMAIL ME AND I'LL CLARIFY

Gets a little hissy as the battery runs down...otherwise sounds great, better than a shitty Morley I used to have, and "realer" than what I get out of my Digitech XP100 Whammy/Wah. Classic, good for the Shaft theme.

No problem, batteries last reasonably long, but I am in the process of building a DC adapter for all my pedals, and will drill a hole in the side of the unit for the line to run in.

This is my only problem. I recently did a gig and had a problem with this thing. right in the middle of a wah sweep POW, no signal, it came back tho I almost lost it because of this. I opened the thing open to check it out-this is a cheaply built unit. I bet the price of this thing in parts is less than ten bucks. This kind of peeves me because I paid 90 bucks for it. I mean, come on, what is this world coming to, when I buy a product it should be RIGHT. It, of course could just be a lemon but still, hire someone to check them out! Also, a word to the unexperienced buyer, it's true that the old stuff is better, the reason is that the engineers added extra copper either on purpose or to be safe, not very cost-effective, but then came the factory manager and to make him or herself be a hero showed everyone how to cut costs (by using cheaper components, thinner pc boards, etc.) and this screwed the consumer... DON'T buy stuff to be trendy, or cool or whatever unless it's made well. I hope some music store dealer reads this also to know that there are people out there that will be careful and not waste money on inferior stuff. Hopefully, others will follow this practice and we will get real benefits one day
