2 knobs, super easy to dial in any chorus sound u want

Sound Quality : 9
This chorus has a thick, syrupy chorus sound to it - like others have said before, it has an eighties sound to it. Sounds really rich on the clean amp settings , and while not true bypass, I haven't noticed any tone suck or noise in bypass. Can do a really nice swirly chorus or a fake leslie on the faster settings.

Reliability : 10
Had it for years, absolutely no issues with reliability.

Don't know

Overall Rating : 9
Compared to any Boss chorus pedals (including ce2) I say that this sounds pure and organic. With some delay, you can get some Police sounds for sure. The only chorus I like better in my pedal arsenal is the byoc chorus (again a 2 knob style). For a vontage pedal, i think these a way underrated (who would think that washburn would do such a fine job! If you can find one at a reasonable price, get one. Until next time...

Easy enough if you some knowledge of chorus and modulation FX.

Sound Quality : 8
I'm using it with a bunch of Fender (strat, Cyclone, Lead 1) through a bunch of pedal (mainly Little Big Muff, MXR Phase 45 and Boss DSD-2 sampler) through a bunch of amps, including a Vase Trendsetter, a Trace Elliot hybrid head, a Fender Super 210 valve combo and a Roland JC-120.

It sounded ok but the constant work it needed eliminated any useful sound. But I guess this category is 'sound quality'...so 8.

Reliability : 2
I have owned 3 pedals of this series: the A-D2 distortion, the A-AD-9 analog delay and this one. All 3 have had a lot of issues. On two of them, at least 1 jack has collapsed, 1 just never worked and 1 just required constant attention to keep it functional until I finally announced it dead etc etc. When you consider that I've owned over 40 Boss pedals and not had a single with one of them, 3/3 is a pretty ordinary record. Boss are obviously made tougher and/or have far superior quality control to any other competitor in the market. They sound ok but none was consistent enough to gig or even rehearse with.

Non-existant for pedals.

Overall Rating : 4
I play anything kind of indie-ish and it suited my needs ok but, again, never worked long enough to really grab my attention. My assessment would be a decent sounding pedal but atrociously built.

The washburn pedal is sweet. its got a rate and deph knob. not too complicated. but sounds amazing. adds a good presence to a plain guitar.

Sound Quality : 10
sounds good it has the sound youd here in like soft 80's finger picking done by rock bands. i love it. im using it with my 80's washburn raven guitar. two humbuckers. the distinction of the chorus goes away if you use alot of distortion with it, but realy shines when you run it clean.

Reliability : 9
hasent broken yet, but i did buy it with out the battery cover. i use a one spot with it. and it works great.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never called them but they probly dont suport products that are this old.

Overall Rating : 10
i play some experimental music, so i will use any thing, but htis sounds really cool. way better than the builtin chorus of my digitech rp-300 i used to have. probly wont ever sell it.

How simple does it get, two knobs and thats all you need to get a great sound.

Sound Quality : 10
Rich Analog chorus, very smooth and quiet. I have owned many chorus effects and this one is the best. I use it with a Fender Super Reverb and a Fender Musicmaster Bass for practice. You get the 80's sound nailed to a tee.

Reliability : 10
This thing has been through the mill since the mid 80's with no problems at all. I would love to find another one but I assume that Washburn didn't produce very many as I have not been able to find another one. I just lucked into this one about 4 years ago and am glad I did.

I have never dealt with Washburn.

Overall Rating : 10
I play original music with an 80's feel. I have been playing 20 years and mainly play Strat's through Fender Amp's. I went through all the rack gear and went back to the stomp boxes for the better sound. I use a MXR Envelope Filter, a Ibanez Super Distortion, a Boss Octaver and a Cry Baby Wah. I have owned a Boss CE-2 MIJ Chorus and a MXR Chorus but this Washburn beats them both for less money. I'm sure Washburn had them built by Ibanez or another company but I haven't found one as good anywhere else. If you see one BUY IT. If I lost it I would search the world over for another one.

Very simple. Two control knobs--RATE & DEPTH.

Sound Quality : 9
Great analog chorus. Has excellent body (more so than Boss CE-2) and does not add as much trebly overtones as CE-2 and others. It is slightly darker sounding than Boss CE-2, probably similar to an MXR micro-chorus. This really gets the late '70s/early '80s Alex Lifeson/RUSH sound. Sounds really great with that kind of moderate overdrive.

Reliability : 10
It's used and has probably changed hands many times, but its still in very good condition and plays like new. Obviously reliability not an issue.

***I have no idea***

Overall Rating : 9
I give this chorus a solid "9". If you like analog chorus, this is one of the best (I've tried many many analog chorus pedals). Really a nice full sound. This is a great find if you can find one. From early/mid '80s I would guess.
