Pretty easy to figure out. Four knobs, one footswitch.
*Volume
*Tone
*Gain
*Contour

I was getting some really cool sounds out of this with a pretty good variety. I used it with a marshall 60W half stack and a Les Paul so that's a real good start. I bought mine on ebay and got a really good deal. For this price I'm stoked. It's good for a variety of classic rock tones from mild or boosting to pretty heavy rock tones. And you can get a good "Paul Stanley" tone out of it, too. I'm using it for variety along w/ my marshall.

It doesn't beat my tube head of course, but it gives a cool marshall overdrive crunch

It is like an MXR sized pedal. It has a metal casing but w/ a plastic base cover. Seems sturdy enough and I've had no probs.

Haven't had to deal. I don't think these pedals are being continued. I looked for them recently on the web and everyone is out of them. I didn't check ebay lately though. These are made by Lyon who is owned apparently by Washburn. I can't find the pedal on their websites either.

I play all kinds of rock and this pedal is a good match. If I want real heavy though I need more. Been playing for over 20 yrs. It's a cool pedal to have and for the price, I suggest it. I think I paid $35.

This pedal has LEVEL, TONE, GAIN, and CONTOUR controls to help you dial in your sound. The CONTOUR knob sets the level of upper mids. It's easy to get a driven classic Marshall tone from this pedal. There is no manual, just some setting tips printed on the back of the box.

I tested the Paul Stanley distortion with a Les Paul Classic and a non-master 50w Marshall half-stack. The PS distortion does the classic Marshall tone very well. It doesn't have a big time thump in the lower registers. Those that love a big low end will be dissapointed with this pedal. The midrange is full and throaty and the upper mids and highs are clear and glassy. This pedal has a lot more gain available to it that I had imagined and can get into modern day Marshall drive levels with the "Gain" control cranked but the classic Marshall brightness and feel is always there. You can't dump the mids to get into any more modern tones but hey, this is a Paul Stanley Distortion pedal! Think "Classic Marshall drive and tone" and you'll get the picture.

Built to last. Durable metal case and well designed controls. Should last a lifetime. Some pedals in this price range use a lot of plastic but this pedal has a "MXR" feel to it. Nice job.

There is limited information available for this pedal though the manufacturer does have a small section for it on it's website.

A very nice pedal for the price! It is voiced to produce the upper-mid and high-end heavy tone that is Paul Stanley's signature sound. No scooped-mids or dual rectifier tone here, just a really cranked Marshall tone that has been used on countless records throughout the years. I thought this pedal would be a let-down but I am actually impressed with it. A good value for a rockin', well made pedal.
