Ease of Use : 10
plug it in, turn some knobs...pretty easy

Sound Quality : 10
Great sound.
with a clean amp it is pretty good but with a slightly overdriven tube amp it sounds very nice....about like any 80's-90's heavy metal but not the Zack Wylde midscoop thang.
This peadal is very usable. Turn the gain way down and the volume up a touch and it is a very good overdrive, it does color your tone but in a good way. I like my Barber Direct Drive better for overdrive but the PMD is better for turning a Fender 5E3 amp into a heavy metal machine....
I usually set the volume @ 2:00 tone @ 2:00 drive @ 10:00 for a very convincing VHT/Soldano type sound and this is coming out of my vintage Fender 5E3 cicuit....how cool is that.......

Reliability : 10
pretty thick steel and more stable than most pedals because of it's size.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Hope I don't need them.

I have been playing for 23 years and I know good tone.
This pedal has good tone but not at really low volumes. I believe it is made to be run hard and it will reward you.
I would rather have this pedal and a Fender Pro junior than any of that Line 6 crap.
The boost channel seems to add a touch of mids which is very nice for leads but most might find the volume jump with the boost engaged to almost be too loud but I like it....makes your leads stick right on top of the mix so don't mess up.
This pedal is def. worth the money (80.00). I got mine cheaper than a Boss DS-1 which sounds like a waffle with poop on it and tossed against your speaker compaired to the Scott Ian Pedal.
