Very easy, Vol, Tone, Fuzz...Standard Muff layout, but sounds nothing like a Big Muff.

I'm playing a '74 strat with Harmonic Design 54 specials in it into a Bogner Shiva (I'm getting a new amp soon, probibly a Marshall PTP 18 watt). Now..this is the only pedal I've been inspired enough to go here and write about. I've been a fuzz-a-holic for about 3 years now and in the process have played almost every fuzz known to man. I have also aquired a Rams head Muff, an origional Tone Machine, I used to have an origional NKT-275 '68 F.F. but I perfer the BC-108C's in my FF from 1970. This is by no means to brag but just maybe put a bit of validity behind what I'm about to say. The Foot Pig contains everything Ive been looking for in a fuzz. The ability to clean up w/ vol knob (does this insanely well), a unique biting tone that cuts though w/ a live band, and the Foot is very quiet. Probibly the thing I like about the Foot so much is that it has a very unique texture to it's sound, almost like a Tone Bender mixed with an Ultra creamy FF, but in a way it almost sounds like a squealing pig is actually trapped somewhere in there. It can really get anything from the pumpkins to hendrix but not exactly. Pumpkins..get a Muff...Hendrix..get a Roger Mayer Axis (the old Fuzz Faces need some fairly heavy mods to truly make them sound anything like Hendrix). So I give this pedal a 10 just because I own some of the most legendary fuzzes around and I think this is what I'm going to be going on stage with. Dig.

You can get one of these for the price of a ton of other used vintage fuzzes and this seems to not nessicarily be the best, but It's for sure my Favorite.

Three Knobs: Level, Tone, And Fuzz. Getting a good sound is really easy, it sounds good no matter what.

From my Ibanez S-Custom into a Peavey Express 112, it sounds fantastic. With the tone maxed and the fuzz at about 3 o'clock, you can do a variety of things: Hendrix, Ventures, Primus, etc. It's a genuine 60's fuzz box. Turn the tone down, and you get smooth, buttery, singing blues tone. Really fat sounding. Also, responds very well to your guitar's volume control. Turn it down a little bit and the fuzz will drop dramatically. True bypass, so it doesn't screw with your sound. Very quiet, also, and nice feed back.

Solid anodized aluminum case. I'd say as tough as a Boss.

Mine was made special for me. The shop that Way Huge uses for assembling a lot of their pedals burned down, but I needed this pedal for a gig. So, they had to use materials normally reserved for other pedals to make mine. Now, I don't know how many other pedal companies would have done something like that. Most probably would have said,"Sorry, we don't have the materials. You'll just have to wait."

I'd buy it again and again and again. This is just a kick-ass pedal.
