3 buttons, one for selecting the chorus mode( 3 types), one button for Speed and another for Depth. Couldn't be more easy.

It has two otuputs, one for stereo and another for mono.

It's a really nice chorus unit, I have owned a lots f different chorus pedals including tthe Small Clone and Boss Corus ensemble, I can say that this pedal is at the same level. If you are lucku to find one in second hand give it a try because. you can have a really nice chorus unit for a bargain.

Reliability : 10

This pedal was not lost or stolen, but it had some terrible adventures. I borrowed this pedal to a friend some months ago, and the guy trying to modify the pedal just disconnected the imput and output A jacks, and desoldered the Output B wires. Now I need to repair this unit but I don't know where to connect the wire neither the jacks. Can someone describe me where should I connect the output B wires, or can someone send me some pictures inside the unit? thanks

I recently found this pedal in a pawn shop. Looks to be of 80's vintage. I recall Yamaha made a line of pedals back in the day, but as many others, they failed to sell against Boss. Really a shame as this is a terrific pedal.

Pretty much your standard chorus. Mono and stereo outs. 3 knobs. Speed, depth and a three position knob that introduces different sine waves ( actually, I have no idea it it's sine waves, but it changes the tonal structure from deep and lush to fast Leslie )for various tones.

At lower settings, the chorus is very detailed, dimensional and lush. Everything a good chorus should be. It's very organic sounding...lending a nice richness to the blend. At faster settings, it nails the Leslie vibe as good if not better than the much coveted 80's Arion SCH-1. I did an a/b test with my Arion....and the Yamaha held it's ground. The Yamaha was able to get a faster Leslie spin than the Arion.

I'm a pedal hound and constantly search for older effects, but this is the first Yamaha pedal of this ilk I've come across in my weekly pedal forays. I'd love to find a delay of the same series.

This thing is built like the proverbial brick-shit-house. Excellent condition for it's age. It's solid and heavy but best of all, it's got tone to the bone.

If you ever come across one of thses, I'd highly recommend picking it up. It will do all you need achorus to to and then some. Puts the Boss CE-2, CE-3 and other chorus pedals to shame. Closer to the old Arion and early 80's Ibanez in tone. Great pedal in my opinion.
