The effect is a little hard to dial in the first time.
Later on, is very easy to get a good sound of it.
The manual is really something to laugh if you can't read Russian.
But the internet is a great source for that if you don't understand the pedal.

My setup: Esp ltd ec-500 (emg 81 and 60) -> behringer wah pedal (really need to buy a good one) -> Yerasov 9000 volt -> Peavey Valveking vk100 with a behringer cab(bad name, good sound)
The pedal can be very noisy, I recommend a noise gate.
The distortion and the overdrive are mean. Good for metal and rock, not tested it long enough with other styles. I think death metal doesn't sound good with it. The distortion can be very dark with too much low in it. you can (if you got one) press your bright switch for better sound.
I can get the sound out of it that I want and it is not difficult to get it.

It is small, lightweight but very sturdy. I would take it on a gig without a backup.
No gigs at the moment and just got it, so testing is the only option.

My style of music is metal/ hard rock/death metal/ blues/ classic rock. It is a good match with this distortion pedal.
I've been playing for 7 years.
My gear:
Esp Ltd ec-500
Ibanez rg370
Jackson RR-30
Ibanez 7-string
Amps: peavey Bandit (2nd production)
Peavey valveking head with behringer cab
effects:
Vox Tonelab SE
Behringer Wah pedal
Digitech RP 5
If it was stolen I really would buy it again.
Good points:
- versatile
- distortion and overdrive
- sturdy
- true bypass
- Compact and lightweight
Bad points:
- no seperate controls for the different channels (that will get 5 more knobs, not that much space left.
- ....
- ...
- nothing more...
It helps me to make music because I wanted to change my guitar sound.
It is not over done american sounding.
This pedal is great, better than a lifeless sounding boss pedal

Two totaly distinct sounds: distortion and overdrive.
7 knobs 2 footswitches. Both voices share the Drive and 4 EQ controls but get their own output volume control.
It is very easy to use but i find i have to totaly change the eq setting when i change from overdrive to distortion. This makes footswitching between the two sounds pointless. Looks good in theory but in practice it would have been just as well to use a toggle switch for the two sounds and leave off the second output knob. Maybe it works for some people with different amp/guitar combos.

The real surprise here is the overdrive setting. It delivers a sound that many pedals claim to do but fall short of: a tube screamer style overdrive that a doesn't loose bass frequencies, doesn't compress much, sounds open and clear, cuts through, doesn't get fizzy or muddy or have too much early break up all with enough gain to be used with a clean amp. Truely goes from clean boost to full out shred and all points in between and that's just the overdrive setting.
The distortion setting is interesting and unique but i like the overdrive setting more. The comparison i would make is the distortion feels like you are pushing the guitar signal through it and the overdrive feels like it is pulling the signal out of the pickups. The distortion is a bit too dark and bassy for my amp. The distortion is good for scooped mid heavy metal tones at high gain settings which brings me to the EQ.
The EQ isn't your run of the mill tone control. In addition to bass and treble you get parametric mid controls with a massive sweep. It isn't voiced like a mixing board you have to experience it. Massive tonal possibilities with this EQ.
True bypass? yes!

This pedal is truely heavy duty. The knobs have a feel that inspires confidence and all the components are top notch. American boutique companies have nothing on yerasov. As good or better than anything out there in terms of build and parts quality.

Low price and superb quality. Try this along side your $400 hype boxes and listen without pre-judging based price. The amount of tones this pedal is capable of is mind boggling.
Very compact yet easy to adjust thanks to the unique knob shape.
Easily the best value in the overcrowded boutique gain pedal market.
I think every player could find thier tone on this from country, jazz, pop, to death metal. The pedal is just so versatile.
Favorite thing about it is the amazing overdrive sound.
I wish it had all seperate controls for both sounds but that would add another 5 knobs to the 7 it has so it's a bit impractical.
I would buy it again.

Super easy to get killer sounds. I have a quite a large collection of distortion pedals and this will entice you to play with it for hours. There are two switches, one for overdrive and one for distortion. the knobs all have their distinctive grit and tone.

I used this with various effects and this pedal stands out no matter where I put it in the chain. This Russian tank screams and has so much character. The bypass is completely silent but turn this bad boy on and look out. Super loud and has such a range from sick low-end crunch to sharp peircing highs to mangled uncharted territory. Even has a knob to control sound color from red to green which sounds like the most insane sweep I've ever heard.

Built like a rock. Silver all metal body. Would totally gig with it again and again and again. Excellent compact design!

Now, I wouldn't gig without it. It has quickly became my favorite pedal because there is truly nothing like it. I play in a few bands mostly mixing metal / experimental / hard rock / noise. Other musicians are always looking at my setup and are totally baffled by this silver beast. I chose this one over the other Yerasov pedals because this one had the highest volt 9000. I'm so glad I didn't skimp and buy one of the cheaper pedals. For a boutique pedal it was completely worth the money. If lost or stolen I would immediately hunt one down on ebay.
