Quite easy to use, you dont need the manual for the basics, except for the RP01 pedal. The manual covers four languages on one page, so as a non-english you have to flip often. They spend a lot effort on explaining the basics, I missed the technical parts.

The speaker simulation is good, the best I've heard yet. The distortion sounds are good at high gains, and with the gain the quality gets lower - at low gains the sound becomes scratchy. The modulation effects are very good, especially the scale-based harmonizer, also the delay. The reverb is not natural enough. The compressor in the pre-distortion stage is actually a limiter with very little effect.

I would not rely on the RP01 pedal cable connectors. The footswiches appear to be solid.

I play a wide range of styles, mostly rock and fusion. I use a Ibanez RG560 with a SC-HB neck PU. As I intend to use the 3000 for direct recording, I edited the sounds at home over a pair of B&W DM603. As a sound reference or goal, I name Van Halen and Allan Holdsworth, and you can get quite close to these with the 3000. Because the compressor stage does not work so well, I would suggest to use a separate one.

It's pretty easy to use this machine. You can edit patches in a snap. The manual is extremely good.

I'm using a Fender Squire Strat Affinity series and an Audition 110 Peavey Amp. It is not very noisy. I disliked the distortions. The time based effects are pretty good. The expression pedal is a nice adition, but doesn't work fine. The vocal effects are usless.

It looks reliable but I would use a backup.

I play rock, flamenco and jazz. I've been playing for 10 years. If stolen or lost, I wouldn't buy it again. Even more, I'd think twice before buying another Zoom product. I love the easy of use, I hate the distortions. I also own an RP-7 that is by far much better. I'd like better distortions. It doen's help me too much with my music.
If you have any patch for it, please e-mail me.
