Zoom 5000 Hybrid Distortion Pedal

It's very easy to use but requires alot of batteries, get the AC adaptor.

There's no hum at all when I use a peavey preadator at any volume. The distortion itself is pretty good and unique but I still like that DS-1 sound alot.

Never had a problem yet except that I bought it used and the battery compartment didn't work.

I've never tryed.

It's great for recording and I'd buy it again if I find it.

A third grader could handle it

if you have to have that tube tone I would not recommend this pedal but aren't some of us getting tired of that search for the infamous crunch

I have looked to contact Zoom but i can't seem to find them. Actually I think they have discontinued this pedal.

I love this pedal it has the best metal sound I have ever heard. It has a compressed, endless sustain, and unbeilevable gain sound. Harmonic city too. I would buy this pedal just for the metal sound, it is better than any rack or pedal disortion i've heard. However if you're looking for the perfect tube sound it lacks. Being a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan I played almost all of their songs on the metal setting and I'd recommend the the thing to Billy Corgan. This is the first pedal made in the 90's that i had to actually search for, and it is well worth it . I plan for this pedal to define my sound for years to come.
