If you have a Zoom 505 this is just as easy if not easyer to use. In the 505 you had to press buttons to edit each patch and that got time consuming after a while.. With the 606 you just turn a nob and your done! Plus it has an Expression peddle built in!!!! that was a $50 add on for the 505 and it's really nice, it can do many things like adjust volume, wah (of course), change pitch/octive, speed up/slow down delay/echo/flange effects.

Sound Quality : 10
I think it sounds great! If your a hardcore "I want a tube or it sucks" kinda person this is not for you, but if your like me and you don't care if the trasister is plastic or glass the get this! I tested it at the local music store with a PRS Custom 22, and a Marshall MG80RCD amp. This thing sounded incredable! I dident have a lot of time to test it, (dont get paid till next week :)) so from what I could do I was able to get a good Metallica/Creed Crunch and a very warm and smooth acustic/jazz sound out of it... I really wanted an SRV sound but I only played with it for like 30 min.... It has 45 patch banks, the 505 had 16, it has combo "phase" effects i.e. Chorus/phase, or flange/chorus etc. the 505 was one at a time.. Built in Tuner (That is really really really acurate) took me a while to tune the guitar that I was useing because the smallest turn to far and it would be off.

Reliability : 8
I love my 505 and I have used it in gigs before. I have never had a problem with my 505 so I would defintly trust a 606 as well. I never use battarys with any of my peddles, so I would have no problem with power. It is plastic though (The reason for the 8, if it was all metal it would be a 10), so if you beat the crap out of your peddles then I dontknow how long it will last... My 505 has been with me for 4 years and I use it almost every day and I dont have any problems with it yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have NEVER had to call the manufacture because this (505) has been such a great product, I have never really heard of any bad storys about them, but I would assume that sense they make such a well made product that they would be proud to support any needs that you might have.

Overall Rating : 10
Over all any of the Zoom products have been High quality for very little cost. I got my 505 for $100. and 5 years later the 606 is the same cost with 10x the amount of stuff that you can do with the peddle.

If you have an ear for tone..and been playing for a long time..this TRASH BOX is useless...

..but if you are a beginner..and just want to have a different sound coming out from your amp aside from clean tone..go ahead and take the risk...

Very easy. Knobs and buttons explains themselves clearly. Editing patch is easy and fast. Manual is also helpful.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using Washburn WR150 with an homemade amp. It sounds great to me. Acoustic simulation is weak though. The distortions are good you can even choose from the factory presets. Amp simulations are also great. The pedal is also nice, I could do those "WAH" things. Even the different assignments for the pedal are great. Lots of patches can be stored.

Reliability : 8
The thing is plastic so I don't expect so much from it. Time will tell when this material gets brittle. But I think the flat design of it's whole body makes it strong enough to take some beating.

This thing is great! If it were lost or stolen I will certainly buy another one. For the price you pay you get so much bonus on this effects.

very!!! damn!!! very easy... unlike an korgs out there, i am looking for a 707 when the dealer says, their is a new oe, the 606.. only no drum sampler, but the cost is low, COOL!! it also has a tuner, very easy to use too.. it has manual, like 30 page manual, which is very deoendable.

Sound Quality : 9
I got a Hamer Diablo Limited Edition guitar with H/S/H setup, using the bridge pickups, i got the sound just DAMN like the leads of oasis, it ROCKS!! on some point, when i need it to be very noisy, i got it noisy, and very clean using the H/S pickup setup. the weak points of this thing is its pedal is too sensitive, it should be much bigger and better, do that on 606 II ZOOM ok? :)

chorus gives very bright sound, which is cool for mellow songs, distortion is as heavy as Linkin Park which is great.

Reliability : 8
dependability, you can rely on this stuff, i used an energizer battery and it lasted for a week, how cool is that? you can even use this stuff on a live concert, i used it on a stage performance on our school, it never brought me down. coz' it has its patches, its easiliy banked and can be switched through the footswitches.

Customer Support : No Opinion
i never got help, coz' its new :)

Overall Rating : 8
instead of buying those korgs, why dont try this one.. although not as good as expensive ones. but gives you great effects compared to that of its price. if you got money, go buy a GFX 8 :)

I think it is very easy to use! I just bought one a week ago!! Very easy to edit patches and make ur own sound!! Yes, there is a manual! (quite handy i think) like a pocketbook! cool!

Sound Quality : 10
Im using a Marshall Valvestate 65R with my Washburn Mercury II series with humbucking pickup. I just dont like the Phaser sound im looking for... u know like in Incubus' "Anti-Gravity Song?" Acoustic effect sucks, kust like in my ZOOM 505... very "Hummy" sound... u know with "SSSShhhhhhhHuuumm" sound?
With regards to the Distortion and all the shit, VERY VERY cool man! it is worth my P5,000! I can get an Incubus super heavy sound and like Death Metal sound! U see, it has its "Stack AMP" effect that i use to make my sound very very fat and heavy!! the ZNR (ZOOM Noise Reduction) really really helps, not unlike with my zoom505! (yuck) I also like the "BIG DRive" distortion here! very fat! Contour knob in 606 really helps in shaping my sound... delay is good! Expression Pedal is awesome! u can use it as a Gain(Boost) or a volume peadl etc... pitch effect is wicked man!!! it just rocks! The Wah pedal is just not the way i expected it to be... but what the shit... it rules....

Reliability : 5
I haven't use it in a studio or gig yet... (coz its new) Well, i don't know if i can depend on it or just sucks like the 505... hmmmm...

Nah... its made in Japan... and i live in Manila..

I play Incubus, and all that Alternative grunge bands... (foo fighters, silverchair)... yeah.. it just suits my taste.. Ive been playing since i was 13yrs old...(Im 20 now) i own a zoom505 that really really sucks! i hate it!!! i also have MT2-metal zone and a DS-2 turbo distortion.and implanning to buy a cheap Chorus Pedal and a big muff!!
If it is stolen, i woudl buy another one 606 with the transparent blue casing!! hehehehe!
i just love its "Stack Amp" feature, the Contour... Distortions!! Expression Pedal...
buy this pedal.. it is worth ur money!! very cheap and vey useful!!

It's quite easy to get the sound you need, editing patches is a fast action and you can hear the guitar sound while your setting all the parameters.

Sound Quality : 8
My setup is made of a Peavey Rage 158 (15W RMS) and a low cost guitar with 2 single coils and 1 humbucker as pick-ups. Sound is good, and the unit isn't very noisy, all the effect are quite good except probably when you try to make your sound 1 or 2 octaves higher or lower with the pitch shifter

Reliability : 8
So far I can't say a lot of things about it, it isn't made of stone but It's quite solid even if it's made of a plastic material, his best use is at home or in a little concert. I give it a 8 instead of 7 only for the price.
