its ok but i think the EQ is a bit crappy

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I use a yamaha rgx 420 d6 and a crappy encore strat copy through a laney HCM15R. Im not going to even try to explain how crap it sounds with my encore.
Distortions: I think these totally suck. I only ever use The bg distortion(probably mesa/boogie type)for heavier stuff and the MS(probably a marshall emulation) for lighter stuff. The other distortions are just so unusable espesially the fuzz dist which should have been called the FIZZ.
Oh and if you think you can gig with this thing THINK AGAIN.
crank the volume up past five and its muddier than a pig in cow shit.
If you want to sound like britney spears breaking wind in the bath then please feel free to buy this hunk o junk, however people who want to sound good look elswhere. modulation effects are pretty turd aswell. delays are ok but i stick with my dd5 thank you very much.

Reliability : 4
Can i rely on it? Hmmmm......
NO! i think ive only had it for about a year(dont know why i still have it!) and the jack sockets are already fukd up. If i want it to work i have to kick it and nudge it or fiddle around with the jack leads at the back(i have to do this every five minutes by the way!). just imagine your playing your favourite tune and the solos coming up.
you press the patch change switch but, Oh? whats this? There's NO FRIKKIN SOUND!!!! Oh its also made out of plastic :)

I play every thing from chillipeppers to linkin park(please dont hurt me) if it was stolen or lost i would not but another.
I hate it cos it sounds turd. STANDARD

The only thing that is good about this pedal, is that it is kind of easy to use, just tweak a little here and there and you'll get your sound(yea right, i don't. Really this thing sucks, check out sound quality)The manual is kinda easy to understand, but they could have made it idiotproof

Sound Quality : 1
At this moment I use marshall combo amps, a yamaha tele, a Gibson les paul custom, and a esp ex 350. For effects i use of course the zoom 606 and a bunch of others in my studio. I might as well say it now: THIS PEDAL SUCK ASS!!! Really, if you play it at high output your sound becomes too muddy, it squeeks like hell, and it's just totally f*cked up. For in your bedroom it's kinda oke if you play it at low output. But it sounds so, so, so digital it's just crap. I'm a hard metal guitar player, and i got this one for my 17th birthday( i play guitar for 6 years) I think my mother was drunk or stoned because this thing is totaly not worth your money, i'dd rather spend it to buy a gun and shoot me in the head. really i wouldn't recommend it to any one. Just buy boss stompboxes. And mt-2 or ds-2, they rock

Reliability : 3
I mean, come on. It's made out of plastic. And the outputs are totally weak. If I let a feather fall on this thing it would break apart. I would definitly NOT use it on stage.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealth with them, i usually try to repair the damage myself ;)

Overall Rating : 1
This thing is such a failure if it comes to multi-effects. It sound so crappy and it is so fragily. If it was stolen i'd hunt the guy down and shaked his hand, and maybe invite him over for a beer or something. It is just really the biggest piece of crap that you can buy, and it's really not worth your money

The factory setting are great I just edit them a little to get the sound i want. The editing is very easy turn a knob or push a button and hit save twice. I hate to read manuals so I learn as I go.

My set up is simple peavey bandit, 65 Marshall mg50, zoom 606 and les paul jr, Telecaster, esp 102, Ibanez rx 240. The sound that come from that little box are great. I can tweek this thing to sound like any I want.

Well, you just have to read the manual and within 2 or 3 hours you'll be completely capable to use it in a good way.

Storm Les Paul- zoom 606- Peavey Bandit 122

The effects are quite good for this price, but the distorsion is absolutly bad. if you want to use it for gigging or practising at a loud output, just forget about that, and more if you play hard rock/metal stuff. the distorsion is not good for this... But just fot taking it with you to practice everywhere at low output or with headphones it can sound perfect.

the input and output jacks have been broken and i just bought it less that one year ago... so... it's not so reliable, almost for me...

As i've said for metal/hard rock, just forget this pedal... just go for MT2, or anythin like that that is also so cheap and sounds better. If it was stolen or lost i wouldn't buy it again, actually im going to buy t Mt-2 and leave this just for practising on holydays or things like that...

It's a fairly easy litte thing to use, I picked it up in about an hour or so, The manual is a must have when your not used to multi effects (im an all single effects guy).

editing patches can be a lengthy operation took me 2 days to set from A-G up, A being distortions, B being Modulated Distortions, C is basic modulation effects set clean IE: trem, phase, flange, pitch etc etc, D is left blank so I can gear up stuff so they are in order for quick changes, E is set factory with the wacky SFX sounds took disto off some, F and G are also set the same most with minor tweaks and stuff set to my liking.

As long as you have the Manual you can get by just fine, but without may take time.

Sound Quality : 7
Well, I actually don't mind the sounds, Some can sound fairly digital nothing is close to analog but it's nice overall.

Reliability : 5
I would never gig with this, I ONLY use it for Recording when im doing gigs I use my single effects rig:

Boss dd-3--GCB-95 original crybaby--Boss Mt-2 MEtal zone--Boss GE-7 EQ, Ibanez PH7 Phaser, Ibanez CF-7 Chorus flanger (set on flange), Boss Ce-3 Stereo chorus and a Boss Ac-2 Acoustic Simulator.

The zoom would be way to hard to use during gigs switching through patches and junk, and it's also plastic I like to stomp this im always scared to touch too hard or use the pedal too much.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Got it used in a trade for a used OC-2.

Overall Rating : 8
Overall this is a good pedal for beginners and amatures and people who are recording or just doing "bedroom gigs". but not for people serious about gigging.

I really like the headphones jack, hell you don't need an amp.

It is pretty simple to use this thing... It comes with pre-made effects anyway, but you can play with it to get what you want...

Sound Quality : 9
I use a crate GX212 amp with a Squire standard double fat strat (I hate single coils)... I bought a Digitech RP200 and decided to stick with this one because of it's sound. Felt like something was missing from my RP200 that this one has... Very strong effects, although the delay kinda blows and the autowah does too, unless I am doing something wrong... It has presets or certain artists, but I forget which... The different distortions are very good, you have many ways of tweeking them... I play punk mostly and I can distortions ranging from Green Day, MXPX, and Good Charlotte...

Reliability : 7
Well, right now, I am having a problem with the plug coming loose from the plugin, not real bad, but it did happen at my first gig and that didn't help my nerves. I think the warranty would take care of it or I can fix it myself... Duct tape or something...

Ease of Use : 8
when you plug it in, its pretty easy to get sounds, just scroll through the presets using the foot-buttons. however, i like making my own patches to suit my own style, and that takes a little work- so i give it an 8. after getting this down, it gets easier. following the manual helps, but you just gotta fool around to get to know it.

Sound Quality : 9
i like the sound of this unit. i was expecting the drive (o.d., distortion, etc.) to sound harsh and industrial- like the first zoom 505, but it does not. well, a few will if you EQ them that way, but overall the dirt sounds pretty good, especially after editing the EQ and contour. the beaty of this box lies in its modulation effects. so many to choose from, and most sound good. the pitch shifters are o.k., good enough to use for a few songs. i am getting sounds to suit my styles after editing patches. the factory presets are the norm- some good ones and others just crazy sounds to show off the units insane side. it'll work well for crazy sounds, but the modulation sounds are pretty sweet.

Reliability : 7
i will depend on it, i'm not sure i'd use the wah gigging, i'd use another to save the wear on this one for at home. so far so good.....so what? that doesnt mean it'll still work tomorrow, but i hope it does. its plastic, so i wont treat it like a metal stompbox, i'll just make sweet love to it in the cool moonlight

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them, but i bet they got some hot chicks working the phones, maybe i should call them

Overall Rating : 8
overall, i got it to have the many sounds available. i like being able to add the sounds as i want, without buying 30-some pedals (thats thirty-some...not 3some, but we could talk about that too)

i play metal/rock/blues. it works fine. the o.d. and fender-amp sim are pretty good considering its a multi-effects. if it were lost or stolen i'd notify the F.B.I.- STAT.

it does help make music, because instead of fiddling with wierd sounds for hours, i create patches for my taste and just write music (with many sounds)

i would like to share something else....but only with the ladies

Ease of Use : 6
Just plug it and you get a correct sound out of the first patch (OD+rev). You cycle back and forth with the left pedals. Globally easy operations. Editing patches is straightforward if you have tried other multi-effects. Manual is terse but ok.

Something's missing: a volume control (or I'm too stupid to properly read the manual). That's a shame given that, by nature, a distortion effect increases the volume.

Sound Quality : 4
I use Rickenbacker 620 (solid-body) and Godin Artisan TC guitars, and Fender and Rickenbacker amps (basically very clean and bright). I wanted some kind of multi-effect who would give me an extended spectrum of sounds, and ideas, in order to refine them later with better quality equipment.

Frankly, the tone is just average. It sounds ok at first, but just try a soft wah sweep: you can _hear_ the bits. There are gobs of distortions and I use the funniest of them, the others beings laughable but not enough. Weird effects can be selected, like a kind of 12-string emulation (well, rather a Martian emulation...), combinations of wah/flange/whatever...

Reliability : 4
Plastic. 'Nuff said.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 6
I play a lot of stuff, mostly psychedelic/experimental, sometimes crystal-clean, sometimes raw and dirty. What I like is the compacity of the box which packs a lot of features for its size and allows for easily trying new sounds. What I dislike is the tone and the plastic. This is not a professional tool and while I've gigged twice with it, there won't be a third time.

The audience is obvious given the presets (distortion galore): kids needing an entry-level multi-effect. This little box fits perfectly the bill. Me, I'll keep using it as a testing tool during rehearsals, while my old Quadraverb and other stomp boxes will give me the tone I need for production work (gigs, recordings, etc.)

This particular multi effect pedal is more than easy to use. I'm a beginner guitarist and had no problems with setting it up, editing patches or using the pedal itself. The pedal comes with a manual consisting of 40 pages, and you can also download one from the Zoom website.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm using a Yamaha EG-112 (2 single coil, 1 humbucker). I still haven't got a amp, so I'm running it through my HiFi. I tend to use the humbucker pickup mostly and it sounds great with it. Despite the fact that all the effects are digitized, they still kick ass. Currently I'm playing stuff ranging from Rammstein, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, GnR to Santana, etc. The sound is, if not the same, nearly close to the sound of the above mentioned. The really cool feature is the expression pedal, you can assign wah, drive, mod/pitch, delay/reverb and volume to it. The only problem so far is the volume, one millimeter back of forth on the pedal and you can cut off the sound completely. Also, changing between the distortion and wah patche can be rather tricky if a certain part of the song requiers an wah effect.Otherwise, no objections.

Reliability : 9
The casing is made of plastic, but still, it is very sturdy and resilient. Bearing in mind that you use your foot to change the effects, when you hit the switches or the pedal, you could swear that it is made of something more durable than plastic. I still don't play any gigs, but so far this little unit is very durable and I don't se a reason why I shouldn't use it live.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've bought this unit a month ago, so I hope there won't be any problems with it in the near future. Any way, I got an 1 year warranty on it.

Overall Rating : 9
I'm playing mostly rock music, classical rock and from time to time industrial rock (Rammstein). I've been playing for a year now, I still consider myself a novice in the field. If the unit got stolen or lost, I would certainly get another Zoom 606. It really is easy to use, it creates a fab sound. It already comes with a factory preset of 42 patches, but you can customize the sound to an infinite number of combinations/sounds just by turning the knob and pressing a few buttons. The main reason that I bought this unit, other than the price, was the fact that I'm playing all sorts of music. I could have blown 100$ or more for a Marshall distortion but that's all I would have. For this price I have a distortion, wah, volume and and equalizer to name a few that an average guitar player needs/owns. I would definitely recommend this unit to a beginner and to an average player as well.

Ease of Use : 7
It can be easy to use, except for the volume and tone controls. Adjusting
the master volume, or changing the patch level volume requires quite a
bit of effort. A dedicated control for volume would have been nice.
The controls for equalizaton are quite counter intuitive. The EQ follows
a preprogramed curve and I can't quite visualize it as a number, especially
when it involves scooped mids. Adjusting it by sound isn't too easy
either as the audio gets muted as you are changing the settings around.
I'd rather have the two large footswitches to change the settings while programming so
I can play and adjust at the same time. The expression pedal isn't as
useful as one might think. There are only 5 or 6 levels of variation
the pedal can produce. It's not usefull for wah as there is a significant
delay before moving the pedal will result in a change of tone.

Sound Quality : 5
My favorite effect is the Fender Clean drive. It pushes the lows, scoops the
mids and pushes the highs and without sounding too digitized. The digital
reverb is relatively noise free and sounds distintly different from
the average spring reverb, but in a good way. The acoustic drive is too low
in volume and very digitized. I don't like the distortion settings.
The output of the pedal is too high with distortion on. Switching from
clean to distortion will blast your eardrums off and clip your preamp
if you don't drastically cut the patch volume. The chorus effect is poor
compared to a good analog effect. The octive effects are fun to play
with, but are very noisy as well. Mixing the ring effect with delay
will create all sorts of scary sounding Sci/Fi horror sound effects.
This pedal has many many effects that can be arranged to form a wide
array of interesting sounds, just don't expect any effect to be perfect.

Reliability : No Opinion

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 7
It's only a hundred bucks. It's a fun toy and great introduction as to
what effects do. Not high performance class equipment, but enough to
entertain the casual guitarist.

It's pretty easy too use. This thing sucks when it comes to playing live (i've been in a band for 3 years and playing guitar for 10). It takes to long to go from patch to patch. Other than that, it is pretty easy to get different sounds. Don't by this if you play an instrament.

Sound Quality : 2
The effects are ok but the distortions suck big fat donkey balls. If you like big bassy palm-muting, this is most definatly not for you. I guess it is o.k. for shity out-of-date music. Don't buy it if you like to play the guitar and sound good.

Reliability : 5
A few years ago, i bought the Zoom 505II. That sucked in all areas possible. Both jacks on the back fucked up, and it doesn't work anymore. Your money would be better spent buying a gun and killing yourself. As for this, it's holding up pretty good. I wouldn't use it live, because having my previous experience with Zoom, something's bound to fuck up.

Customer Support : 1
Don't even bother with them.

Overall Rating : 5
It's o.k. if you don't mind having distortion that sounds like it . I would reccomend putting the money away to get a Vox AD120VT. Now that thing kicks ass. Besides the distortion factor, I guess it is a reasonable unit. The effects are allright. This most definatly is not for someone who is looking for that good professional sound. For a bedroom thing, I guess it is allright (that is what i use it for).

Its very easy to get the desired sound or effect with just a little experimenting and a few knob turns here and there. The manual kept it simple but i really have to refer to it constantly to figure out which module is which. I find it annoying that you can only scroll up and down to find the desired patch , with 42 patches this could be quite an annoyance during live gigs

Sound Quality : 10
Hmmm.. I just bought my 606 and im running it through a Fender Bullet Reverb amp. So far so good. Sound and tone quality are just perfect for the genre that i play, Nu Metal. I can replicate the sounds of most of the bands ive been listening to.

Before I used a Korg g3. and the distortion sucked eggs. The 606 completely blew it away!

Ive been playing guitar for almost 10 years now and ive only recently switched to digital due to the quantity of effects and the relatively lower cost. Zoom 606, for its price, does not disappoint. If this thing was lost stolen or broken, i'd definitely buy another one...for 99 bucks, its a great deal!

Im thanking Zoom for coming out with affordable yet high quality effects processors!

It is a pretty simple machine, no problem with that. It's all in the manual. It has 1 module of 9 or 10 distortions an a second module with all the other effects. you navigate through the modules setting the values, which unfourtunatedly are few

Sound Quality : 8
I use a Fender Strat and a Fender M-80 combo amp. This multieffects has good things and very bad things. The worst thing is that it has no bypass, that's unforgivable.
The distortion is nice, very sharp. The overdrive is too digital, but I guess it's fine. The Fuzz is very fuzzy! The acoustic simulator it's not an acoustic simulator. The amp simulators are ok, but I didn't use them very much. The delay rocks! So do the reverb and the room and the echo not so much. Mmmmmm, what else? This little light plastic box has so many things I can't remember. The truth is most of them are crappy, but the nice thing is it has everything, so if you are a begginner and you want to have everything in one box, or if you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars in having all those features in separate, better sounding analog pedals, this is for you!!! So I give it an 8

Reliability : 6
It's plastic, not for gigging, not for stomping, not for neandertahls like most of us.

I think this is a multieffects for Nu Metal, in fact, I sold it to a guy who played exclusively that kind of music, he was happy, I was happy with my 140000 Bolivares. As I said before, if you are kind of proffesional or kind of not a begginner, don't buy this, go analog, as you should already know.

This depends on the users experiences with effects. Some more professional users might say that this has a poor tone, but if you are like me, a play at home kinda guy who just uses this for direct recording, it sounds great. But I have to say the Wah is kinda weak. I am using this pedal with my Yamaha RGX 112n for recording straight to my PC. The Amp simulator is wonderful for this purpose.

Mostly I play hard rock to heavy metal, and I have been playing for fun for 4 years. So for this unit does the job for me, and for its price you can't beat it. I wish the casing was made with metal though. But seriously, if have the money to opt for something better, you might want to give this one a pass, but if you are a play-at-home-and-jam-with-friends player like me on a budget, this unit is perfect for you. (Wish my dealer had the black casing though, I have the translucent blue unit, and it's butt ugly)

in terms of using and editing patches, and in terms of sound 606 is excellent. you can easily use it the first time you touch it and play it w/ your guitar.

Sound Quality : 7
I'm using a marshall amplifier, and sometimes the the sound is a bit loud on its bass effects. and some of the factory settings are not gooed to suit my taste, bec. most of the sounds are damn noisy. and since my band plays R&B and pop songs, i found my self editing and looking for the songs that will suit our music.

Reliability : No Opinion
I'm a regular player at a bar here at tarlac and the 606 is a reliableeffects that i'm using. Even though it is made out of plastic,i can always depend on its quality.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
since my music is R&B and pop, all i can say is that the effect that the 606 has are nice it terms of the sounds that i'm using. though editing is a problem specially when we are playing live but it gives you something for its price.

It's easy, but a bit tedious, to edit the patches. Discovering different sounds is actually pretty fun. Reading the manual is a must. Changing effects within songs requires major planning. Expression pedal must be used with care or the assigned effect might get accidentally switched off.

Sound Quality : 8
The factory presets are show-offy (lots of echo used), and don't include some simpler and more practical settings. But the patches are easy to change. Basic effects (distortion, reverb, trem, chorus, etc.) are fine, and some of the other effects are pretty cool -- like the delayed attack that sounds like backwards playing. One bit of nastiness: Adjusting guitar knobs and pedal switches that are in line before the 606 creates popping noise (especially disappointing, because the 606's noise gate does a great job on my Morley wah pedal's background whoosh).

Reliability : 10
I just play around home -- haven't had any problems so far.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
It's a fun toy, and gives good bang for the buck. Tuner function is nice. Expression pedal is useful, but too small for serious wah work. You can plug headphones into the output jack, so you can take it pretty much anywhere for quiet practice.

The ZOOM 606 is one of the easiest multi-effects processors on the market today. The only reason one would have to consult the manual is to find out which patches are which. The manual is very staightfoward and user-friendly, and explains each button's function in detail. With it's comprehensive manual and quick patch selecting/editing options, the ZOOM 606 is quite a no-brainer.

Sound Quality : 10
As a big fan of alternative rock bands(Radiohead, The Pixies) and a few punk bands(The Hives, At the Drive-In), I am very picky about what kind of equipment I use, as it is important for me to be able to imitate the sounds of these bands, but at the same time to create sounds that are unique. I am currently using a Fender 72 Custom Telecaster, an Alvarez RD20 acoustic with a Maverick pickup, The Plank(an old modified Biscayne Flyer electric, named after Ed O' Brian's classic hybrid), a Fender Deluxe 90 amp, a ZOOM 606, ProCo Vintage RAT, Morley Little Alligator volume, Rocktek chorus, Arion octave and delay pedals, MXR phase 90, BOSS NS-2 noise gate, and several Danelectro effects pedals. Alone or with other pedals, the 606 produces a wide spectrum of incredible sounding effects. Leading the pack are countless distortions, chorus, phasing, jet flange, delay, pitch shifting, and some incredible synth- type effects. With this pedal, one can easily imitate The Hive's clean guitar crunch sound, or Jonny Greenwood's classic phasing sounds. The only complaint I have is the weak tremolo, but my Dano Tuna Melt makes up for it. Overall one of the best sounding pedals I've heard.

Reliability : 10
Though it is made of plastic, this pedal is surprisingly robust. The expression pedal may seem weak, but it holds up quite well. I would definately use it for a gig, but only for the synth effects, just because I have other pedals that can take care of the rest.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Personally, I've yet to deal with ZOOM, so I have no opinion. However, the staff at ZZounds is incredibly friendly and helpful, which is pretty rare for a thriving business.

Overall Rating : 10
Overall, the ZOOM 606 is an incredibly reliable and affordable pedal. For beginners, this pedal will become the most-used part of one's setup. For advanced guitarists, this pedal certainly outdoes the field in terms of synth effects, and will become one's main synth unit. If it were stolen, I would promptly order another. Definately a must-have for anyone.

Easy to use.
Easy to editing patches.
The manual is good.

Sound Quality : 7
I use it with a Fender Standard Stratocaster MIM.
Not much noise.
The effects are good for begginers, not for professional players.
But for the price, what do you want?
Distortions are not very good, but the delay, chorus, flanger, are nice to me.

Reliability : 6
Plastic, include the expression pedal. Be careful with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't use it.

Overall Rating : 7
I play punk rock. Don't recommend it for this kind of music. Buy a unique boss distortion pedal is a better choice.
The expression pedal is very poor.
I'm a intermediate player (2 year).

Standard ZOOM 606 effects unit.

Although the system has been well thought through and is easy to manipulate when practicing, careful planning of patches and set up are required before playing live.

In terms of editing patches (you will need to do this - factory presets are pretty poor), there are several options, making it possible to usually obtain the sound you want, although it does require some patience.

Sound Quality : 6
Squier Affinity Strat -> Zoom 606 -> Peavey Rage 158
Marshall MG80RCD
Espirit Mixer -> Fender Passport

Overall the factory settings are terrible, especially the Hendrix blues type settings. (The only redeeming one is the EVH setup, which is spot on.) However that is not what the unit was intended for, and with time spent tweaking, decent effects/set-ups can be acheived.

Comparing this unit with the 505II, the sound quality is a vast improvement, however still lacks the warmth of analogue effects. Most of the overdrives/distortions are poor, however high-gain distortion is dealt with....earblowingly. The wah is superb on clean with a good smooth action, if only slightly dissapointing in the range department. Other effects are usable.

For making gimmick sounds and EVH phase-type sounds....it excels.

Although the noise gate is good, I was surprised to find the unit more noisy than the 505II - it hisses a hell of a lot.

Reliability : 8
Overall the unit is pretty well built, and with proper handling should present no problem, and therefore you wouldn't need a back up. (Althought I wouldn't gig with it - too hard to manipulate onstage.)

Usually not one to enter the "bypass" argument, I feel however that it is worth mentioning here. To achieve a decent sound it is best to run the ZOOM into the guitar input; not the FX loop. As the unit uses active bypass, if you run out of batteries during a gig - everything goes. I wouldn't therefore gig with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with.

Overall Rating : 6
I play a wide variety of music, but am a big fan of blues and reggae. I have been playing for a year and a half now, and borrowed this whilst deciding whether to get one, or to buy seperate stompboxes. I chose the stompboxes.

You see although it is good for bedroom practice and the odd weird effect, it is not suited for playing live, and doesn't suit my style of music. Overall in terms of effects for money it is superb for a beginner, but for those who are more advanced, I would leave it alone.

...Only recommended for Van Halen fans.

Great improvement from the 505. It rockets my Les Paul through my amp. I like the new selection of effects on this pedal. Especially the distortions.

Without a doubt! If you are tight on $$ like I am right now, this is the pedal for you.

Haven't had a problem yet! Although I'm looking for a patch database for this one... Big improvement from teh 505.

Like I've said before, this is a great pedal for the price. I've used Zoom products now for about 5-6 years. I love this little pedal to death....

Reliability : 8
yes u can depend on it if u hav it all setup and organized b/c u dont want to be serching for that specific sound while playin, i would use it b/c its the only thing i got right now

well i just bought it 2 days ago, for a beginner like me is kinda astonishing. it has great selection of sound and you can really under stand the settings well if you have some patience.

Sound Quality : 7
i use rj rage amp, the funny thing about it that it just short circuited when i try to test my 606 the first time on it, now im just using a headphone. its kinda annoying. the other thing is that the volume on some patches or effects are weak. well i did try to copy the guitar sounds of slipknot, its almost there.

Reliability : 5
one thing ive notice in this product is that its plastic, its kinda fragile. i would rather use my metal rocker distortion and my phaser in a gig. becouse it has great sound and strong chasing.

i havent tried it. maybe this week.

I always loved metal to hardrock music, well its almost there, I need to edit more if i want that sound.

The sound is very much processed. If there is a huge difference between your neck and bridge pick-ups, the difference will not be too evident through the 606.
It is easy enough to edit, but i have trouble remembering which effect has been assigned to which setting: A1 - G6

Sound Quality : 7
I use an Epi LP Standard w/ Gibson pick-ups and a Squier Strat with DiMarzios through solid state practice amps. I cannot appreciate the DiMarzios through this box, as the sound is almost similar to the stock pick-ups. The 606 defines your sound, not your guitar or pick-ups.

Some of the factory-set effects are weak, in a sense that volume changes up and down are noticeable switching from one effect to the next. It would have been preferable to have the volume on the pedal the same across all settings and use your guitar's volume knob to control. But then again, all settings can be edited to your taste and saved. Just a little bit more work...

Some of the settings are serviceable. But i guess it depends on what genre of music you play. The Jeff Beck 2-octave effect goes back to his Wired and Jan Hammer collaboration days. Clapton and Led Zep effects sound familiar too. Likewise for EVH. The industrial and hi-gain effects, i leave to my kid to use. The 606 adds a lot of gain and character to a no frills solid state practice amp. But you have to tweak a lot of the settings to get what you want and save them.

I just look to tweak the clean settings and adjust the reverb, chorus, delay, and flanger effects to my taste. So far I have been satisfied.

Reliability : 7
I don't gig, and i treat my gear gently, so all my stuff lasts a long time. Just don't stomp on the darned thing or you'll only have yourself to blame.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Getting it repaired from here would probably be a pain in the behind, that's why i treat it gently.

Overall Rating : 7
I noodle about at home, playing slow blues and 60's - 70's type music. It serves my needs, as well as my son's and for the price i paid am satisfied with it. It would have cost a whole lot more to buy separate reverb/delay, chorus and flanger pedals.

If i had to gig, I would look for something else to use, as it lacks a by-pass feature and settings are not easy to edit on the fly - certainly not while playing through a song.

This is pretty easy to use. I preferred the 505 programming style more. The manual is very detailed. It tells you how to program the system and use the pedal very well

Sound Quality : 7
The sound could be better on some effects such as the pitch shifter, chorus, and flanger. I really like the tremolo and the distortions can go from blues to jazz to metal and everything in between. Would be better if analog though. I use this with a BC Rich Warlock, BC Rich Mockingbird, Ibanez RG270DX, and a Jay Turser 7 String. It sounds great on all the guitars. I am using through a cheapo Fender 15W amp.

Reliability : 5
I would not ever use a multi effects unit on stage. They make it very hard to change patches on the fly. I would say it is not very dependable because I cracked the pedal after a weeks worth of use. I also stomp very hard, so that could be it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never dealt with customer support

Overall Rating : 7
Overall I would say this might be good for recording straight into the board, but definately not gigging. I play a lot of blues and instrumental rock. I don't think I would buy another one of these if it were lost or stolen. I would probably buy a digitech RP-300 or a Digitech product...they seem to have a better chasis for the pedal and better sounds. It would be nice if instead of the volume swells it had reverse tape effect or talk box.
