Getting a good sound is fairly easy, only through headphones or direct though!

Sound sucks through an amp. There is no noise suppression and presets are worthless.

I would not buy this unit again. No noise gate, persets suck, and the unit sucks through an amp. This is fairly expensive practice amp. Keep shopping, can do better.

Great as the ultimate headphone amp. Terrible for going into a guitar amp. Might be good as a DI box.
Overall the sounds are very compressed (even with compression off), this makes for good sustain but poor dynamic colour.

Fine as far as home practice use is concerned. I wouldn't use it at a gig.

I ordered a replacement battery cover from them and it arrived promptly with no problems.

Overall it's a very good headphone/practice amp - I don't know of any other products (other than ZOOM) that offer the variety of sounds that this does. Don't buy it as an effects pedal unless you're thinking of DI'ing it (and then test it out with a PA first). IMHO it's too expensive for what it is, unless bought as a used item.

Very easy to program. The on-guitar remote control and the optional footswitch can only select patches from the current bank of 4; to go beyond that you need to use a button on the front of the unit. I don't need to refer to the manual anymore, because everything's clear on the screen.

Lacks a noise gate, so I had to get a separate pedal for that when using distorted sounds. Doesn't pass any signal over 8khz, so it sounds midrangey. Ok with a Les Paul, totally sucks the life out of a Strat.

Hasn't failed, except for the battery.

I'm selling mine, because it makes my best guitar (a Strat) sound horrible. If you have a so-so guitar and want a unit that dominates the sound instead of enhancing it, this can do some nice stuff. The presets aren't very useful (very overblown metal), but if you make your own it's versatile.
