Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to use. One slider for level of compression.
Hi and Lo impedance inputs. "Stereo strapping" whatever that is and it appears you can connect this to another DBX 163x and use one as a master and the other as slave.
So far I've just used it for guitar in front of a fender tube amp and it is about as simple as it gets.

Sound Quality : 10
So far I've used it infront of a Fender Musicmaster amp, and a Peavey Classic 50. I have to say I am very impresed. This is what a compressor should sound like. Very useful and musical set for low compression or turning it up gives that country twang.
Very clean and seems to me that it would be a very useful compressor to have about the home studio.

Reliability : 10
Unknown. I just bought it used, but it appears to be well made and even though it's beat up and used, everything works fine.

I just got this at Goodwill for $7 and I cant believe my luck.
I have a Boss CS-3, an Ibanez CP10, an Alesis 3630, and this is the best compressor by far for guitar of any of those.
I was going to put it on eBay, but after trying it out theres no way I'm selling it.

Ease of Use : 10
Easiest compresseor I've ever come across. Slider for compression, knob for level. Input on front and rear (nice touch), and rear output.

Sound Quality : 10
Great compressor. Better then any pedal I ever used. I mainly ran this through the effects loop with a Rockman Distortion Generator on my bass rig to tighten up the distortion setting (and to fill the 1/2 rack space left from the Rockman). I eventually traded it for a Rockman Stereo Chorus. I'd probably have run it fulltime as a compressor, but I had a Rane DC24 dual compressor for that.

Reliability : 10
Not a single problem with the unit. It had a plastic casing, but the rack case protected it.

Overall Rating : 10
Great compressor for a reasonable price. If you just need a simple compressor to tighten up your sound or avoid clipping on an amp that distorts easily (Like an SWR Super Redhead).
