Ease of Use : 6
The manual did a great job of getting it setup and working. However, there's a lot of information that the manual leaves out. I found editing to be quite cumbersome. In the EQ section, there are four different EQ curves to chose from. The problem that I had was that the manual didn't give you the frequencies that these curves represent. Also, there are no frequencies listed on the display so you're basically guessing as to what frequencies are being affected. I didn't play with other parameters because this was being used in my home studio. Therefore, I didn't see the need for compression or feedback supression.

Sound Quality : 5
This was used in my home studio through a pair of Dynaudio BM6As and a Dynaudio BM10S sub. I instantly heard an increase in noise, but it was not enough to complain about during a mix, however, it did add noise. I set the Driverack up and used the 'setup wizard' to get started. That was fairly easy. Then I moved to the EQ section of the wizard. It has you 'pink' the room with its own pink noise generator and included microphone. I pinked it to the flat setting first. When I was done, I ran a test CD through the speakers. The 5K range about took my head off! I toggled between the PXs flat and the actual flat range of the speakers. The flat range of the speakers sounded much better than the processed flat range of the PX. Then I continued to pink with the other three EQ curves that the PX has built in. It didn't do anything except accentuate certain frequency ranges. When I compared each preset EQ curve to the actual flat range of the speakers, I found that I liked the natural sound of the speakers better. But keep in mind, the Dynaudios are excellent speakers to begin with. I don't know how the Driverack PX would sound on lesser speakers. In my experience with the Driverack PX, I found it to be absolutely no help to my room or speaker setup. As a matter of fact, I found it quite annoying.

Reliability : 5
I've only had it for a week and I'm selling it. I didn't have any issues with it at all, but I've only had it a week!

Customer Support : No Opinion
I didn't deal with them on this product.

Overall Rating : 5
I've been playing for 30 years, recording and mixing for 10 years in my home studio. I have very good gear and thought that this product might enhance my setup, but it didn't. I read a review in a music stores magazine claiming how this product really enhanced the reviewers setup in his studio. That was the sole reason I bought it. But, it didn't do as that reviewer had claimed. I don't know, maybe my room is tuned correctly and my monitors setup properly...But all that I know is that the Driverack PX did not enhance my setup. As a matter of fact, it actually made my system sound worse. No matter how much I wanted to believe that the Driverack PX was going to help, the fact is that it didn't. Remember though, this is a studio setup! This product was primarily designed for live applications. My recomendation is that you will be disappointed with this product if you're getting it for your studio.
