Features : 8
Fair pickups, 4 knobs (Volume/Active, Bass, Treble, Tone Alt.), Flame Finish, Gold Tuners. The absolute best part: thin 5-string neck, and smooth string transition.

Sound : 9
The sound is very full, though I found the active had a little hum. The bass can produce sounds from mellow to sizzle with the tone control.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
This bass is so easy to play. The pitch was a little off at the octave, but that was easily fixed with the alan wrench to adjust those settings.

Reliability/Durability : 8
This bass can withstand a lot...actually pretty tough when it comes to getting banged around. The only thing is the strings may wear a bit quickly at first.

Customer Support : No Opinion
If you shove it in the face of Sam Ash, they may or may not help you. Not Applicable.

Overall Rating : 8
Upgrading to a 5-String? Can't afford the Fender J, Ibanez or Spectre you had your eyes on? Try out the Carlo Robelli USB895. Not bad at all for cheap labor. So what if this bass was manufactured by Sam Ash? It's damn good for it's money.
