The 1st precision Jeff Made!

Sound : 10
Jeff's basses are simply the best! It is the only bass for me when I need that fat P bass sound. It is so balanced! I get the most wonderful growl when I dig in!

The set up was awesome! In fact, the bass was set up when I walked in his shop but it wasn't set up for me. He didn't even want to sell me the bass but I couldn't accept no for an answer so, he eventually gave me a price. I'll never sell it and if I ever get rid of it, it will be because I gave it back to him.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've played this bass on all the late nite shows and lots of award shows! The bass is built as good as any if not better.

I've been playing professionally for 20 years and I have two basses that I won't ever be without.. The Senn bass is one of them!

2005, Original Senn, Jazz Bass, Alder body, Rosewood fingerboard, 20 fret, Olympic White, Matching Headstock, Vintage Hardware, Slightly Reliced, 34"...just the good ol' design.

Sound : 10
This bass sounds wonderful! It truly captures the full, warm and growly jazz bass sound that I love, and it has a very balanced sound; every note sings and sustains. When I first played it I was struck by the feeling and response, it really sings and plays like butter!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The bass was setup flawless when I recieved it. The relief was a bit high, probably due to the change in humidity, but a small tweak on the truss-rod cured that. Also, the reverse tuners were hard to turn, so I replaced them with a new set of Schaller vintage tuners...everything is working perfect now.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This bass is really solid and feels roadworthy. This is the only bass i bring to a gig.

Customer Support : 10
Jeff is a busy man! At times you don't get promptly reply because he is out of town doing guitar tech work, playing or simply busy building. But most of the time you get fast reply, and he is always very kind and helpful...It is really a pleasure talking to him, because he knows what he is doing, and you always feel that he wants you to have the perfect instrument...I couldn't ask for more.

Overall Rating : 10
I've played for about 15 years, and made my living of it for the last 3-4 years. I've played tons of awesome instruments (sadowsky, lakland, celinder, fodera, fender cs etc, pre-cbs fenders), and Jeff's work is every bit as good....This won't be my last Senn bass, I've allready talked to Jeff about a Original Senn P bass!

2004 USA Made Jazz Bass. 4 string thru Body, Solid Swamp Ash Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard w/Pearl Block Markers & 20 frets, Bolt-On neck, Lindy Fralin p/u's, Concentric Knobs, Translucent Cream Color, Nitrocelluose finish. And it comes with the coolest case and a Levy's g'tar strap!! (A picture of my bass is on the builder's site!)

Sound : 10
I play Rock, Pop, and Country. This bass is tight as a tiger. The tonal spectrum it offers is amazing for a passive bass. The body and neck have some kind of "zenn" thing (pun intended) that no other bass I've ever owned before. Warm and Bright, responsive. It has no noticeable dead spots which is unusual for a bolt-on neck. It sounds great through every amp I've plugged it in to. Has depth and sustains fantastic.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This bass surpasses any expectation I had in terms of action, fine detail, and finish. This builder is a perfectionist.....it is the first bass I've ever owned that I did not have to have set up! Nicest frets, wonderful thin finish, it simply is at home in my hands.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This bass will be used for live performance. I expect the finish to wear very nicely......that's what I want so no problem there. My 22 years of playing tell me this bass is solid and very reliable. The wiring inside is A number 1......they use real good quality wiring like you'd find on a vintage Fender.

Very responsive and knowledgeable guy. Bass has a limited warranty and they seem focused on making sure they get it right. They offer relicing and you can pick and choose pickups, controls, colors....etc. They seem flexible and accommodating. I don't expect any problems on this puppy. You get voicemail a lot, but they call you back with answers and solutions...it's refreshing.

Overall Rating : 10
22 years of playing.
I own vintage Fender P-Basses and J-Basses.
If this bass was stolen, I would cry......kick the cat...then cry some more...and then order another.
I compare this bass to a Fender Custom Shop or a Lakland Bob Glaub Signature.
I chose this bass bass on the builders knowledge, offering, price and reputation. (They repair instruments for many pros around the Nashville scene.)
Bottom-Line: My search for the ultimate funk machine is over!!!
