Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Unbelievable tone ! ! Everyone told me that this was basically a jazz pickup, but I can get a lot more sounds out of it than the traditional jazz sound.
Tone: Very balanced: clear, crisp highs, deep lows that thunder, articulate mid range - these are the best pickups I have run through.
Sonic evaluation: Elrick Custom 4 through an F1-X pre and Mackie 2800 power amp - what can I say, this is a great sounding bass. I have a smailler Genz-Benz combo that I use on smaller gigs - great sound. Hell, they sound good through my 6" practice amp !
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Jazz, R&B, Alternative, Gospel, Funk, Blues - these pickups sound good in all these styles with very minor adjustments to the eq settings

Comments: Cant beat it. I am having the pickups in my 5 string (Barts) replaced with Aeros. I have had Barts, SDs, HAZLab, Pope/Fodera, EMGs, etc... these blow them all away in overall tone and flexibility.
