These pickups were installed in a custom built jazz bass with a swamp ash body and maple neck and occupy both the neck and bridge position. I installed them in conjunction with an Audere preamp.

I play all styles of music, everything from heavy metal to bebop. These pickups can match the tone needed for every style I play. They provide that classic J bass growl that we all crave as well as as warm, full low end.

I have been playing for over 25 years and have been building and modifying basses for 7 years. Having said that, these have got to be the best pickups I've ever had the pleasure of using (I have a collection of basses that include Bartolini, EMG, and Norstrand pickups). I also want to mention, that when I called Aero for advice regarding installation, I spoke to the owner himself who not only answered my questions, also gave me very valuable advice regarding the importance of adjusting proper pickup height.
