I play Jazz bass all the time. I put these on a 62 Fender American Reissue. I was replacing Lindy Fralins. I have tried Seymore Duncan Hot Stacks, EMGs, Quarter Pounders, standard Fender American Pickups and Custom shop 60's. They were all great pickups. I've had them on different basses, but for me the Amalfitanos are the best for "MY" sound. I wanted a single coil sound, louder yet punchy...with some growl and very even all across the volume and tone spectrum. These pickups deliver all that. I play Rock, Funk, Blues and Jazz. I also teach bass lessons and have 40 students.

The output level is loud - louder than all the others. I play thru all Mark Bass stuff. 2 x 12 and a 15 cabinet. The tone is clean, punchy, even and a little louder than the norm. They are a great match for all the music I play, which is a wide variety of styles.

After playing bass for 40 years, if anything happened to them, I would replace them immediately. They have everything I need and more. These pickups, for me, are an intricate part of my sound. Jerry Amalfitano is a nice guy and he is the one that makes your pickups - no one else. He will customize them to fit whatever sound you want and will work with you until you obtain your sound.

I am a Jazz Bass nut, so these went into a Fender '62 Reissue stack knob bass. I am replaceing Basslines pickups that came in the bass when I got it. I wanted something that was fat, thick, round, creamy, low distortion, clean. And I am 100% satisfied, I got all my wishes.
I almost opted for the Joe Barden Jazz pickups, I am glad I choose the Amalfitano set.

Great output, better than my vintage '66 & '72 Jazz Basses. I am running thru a Markbass 500 watt 2x10 combo on top of a 4x10 cabinet. I also use a 100 watt 1x10 Ampeg amp, and the pickups rock! They are bassy, but have good treble response too. Very balanced.
I play a various styles of music, from southern rock, country, jazz, blues. I am very satisfied with these pickups, for all styles. I dont snap pop much, but they could handle it, I am sure.

I am getting a set of humbuckers, Jerry calls them Fullbuckers for my guitar. I have been playing 45 years, I am 55. I have several basses, including Modulus, Skjold, Lakland, Fender, Simonetti, Gibson, but this '62 Stack knob is my workhorse. For the price of $200, you can not beat these for tone, I am a very happy camper.
