Audere Audio jazz deluxe preamp jz5d

audere vol, vol, stacked bass,treble setup for jazz bass.

installed the unit on my jazz bass, replacing the original jazz control plate and knobs, pots and input plug for cable from the bass.
i wanted a better tone control. not that my jazz bass was not good but i wanted to try this preamp.

the output is about 15db more than a stock jazz bass and the tone control is VERY impressive. i've had other onboard and outboard preamps but this one's better that the lot. i won't mention brands but they are good and known brands. i beleive this preamp is good for just about anything musicwise. the low z control settings are very effective, very versatile.

i would buy again over the other brands and but it on my non jazz basses since it takes about 20min to install

ok its got 5 way z switching, 2 volume knobs 1 fer each pickup, a stacked treble/bass,and a cool batery life led.. can run either 9 er 18 volt quality components the control plate beter quality than original fender as so are the knobs,,,,

I instaled this on my usa jazz bass ;..;.; bridge pickup is 1974.. neck pickup is AERO hand wound double coil jazz pickup.,,.,. by the way great hand wound pickup;.;;.

this is a verry cotrolable preamp..lots of difernt sounds are posible,,,it is the most, i am going to use the word transparent pre amp i have used;..it lets the original sound shine thru ,.,. there are a few sc ools of thought in a bass preamp ,.,. why use one at all.. my opinion is , if it ads positivly to the sound and doesnt change the quality of the pickups you use and ads another dimention it is a good thing,,., another opinion is a external preamp,,, my opinion is why use a external box if you can get a quality internal one.yes a great preamp at last worthy of my bass

now i am thinkind of puting them in all my basses,,,. hey for uder 200 bucks great bargain,,. there are alot of difernt configurations for the jazz bass,,. i wish they made a p bass model,,,. hey maybe they do? also you cant get a black plate and it would be hard to change plates cause there is a led batery indicator,,,,also a tight fit in my bass, and i dont want to ruin the bass by routing a batery box....it was the easyest instal outher than going with a active pickup like a emg;.;..;;.i am going to give it a 9 in value to leave the 10 for future from them,, give them somthing to work towards,,,lol
