Perceived output level: Medium Hot.
Tone: Bassy, dark, smooth... not so trebly.
Sonic evaluation: Mesa Boogie Bass 400 with an SWR 4x10.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I play prog/hard rock with blue/funk/psychadelic overtones. It works well.

Comments: This pickup is definately bass heavy. But not muddy. It has a dark, smooth, defined quality to it. I wish it had just a little more treble to balance it with it's mate but between the two pickups, I have a wide variety of quality tones to choose from.
