Perceived output level: about the same but with much better sound
Tone: balanced and live. these should be standard
Sonic evaluation: i use swr amps and cabs with a digitech bnx3

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: i play metal to hard rock and there is nothing that will not sound good with these pickups

Comments: customer service is the best point i can offer. i bought my pickups off ebay at a big discount. i had problems with volume-the guy sent me a pair of 5 string p/us. i sent them back to bartolini and i got a phone call from pat bartolini-"wonderfull lady" she found out what i was intending to buy from my ebay experience and 3 days later was a brand new set of what i was looking for. these pickups gave me the sound i was looking for. htese guys rock
