Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Not as loud as my EMG active PBass pickups
Tone: Warmer than the EMG active mentioned above; not at all muddy
Sonic evaluation: Pretty nice pickup; I'm still not able to get the tone I want, but that might be because I'm playing a maple bodied bass through a Traynor tube head. Pretty articulate (not at all muddy) and gets a nice warm tone with NO noise. Sounds good! If I sold this bass I'd save the pickup and slap it into another bass.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Good for my styles -- maybe not recommended for slap, but I can't do that anyway!
Overall Rating
:
7
Comments: I like it -- it sounds authentic, and installed in minutes with no problems, and no noise afterward. Looks and fits just like stock. I'd definitely get another if needed.
