Good output. Not to much. I run the bass through a SWR 350 + 2x10.
Tone:EMG 40's sound clear and punchy wired straight, but the treble can be a bit harsh. I added the DELANO Sonar and.....HOLY ****!! AWESOME! Bass is loud and punchy, but never muddy-even the low B on my 34" scale sounds clear! Mid control is smooth with a nice honk. The treble is just perfect. Not harsh or thin sounding. One 9V powers the pickups and preamp!Super nice.

If it were DESTROYED? New one-no question. I've been playing 12 years and repairing basses for 17 years. I have tryed almost every preamp on the market. This pre sounds great and is easy to install. The price is great and it's very versatile. It goes well with EMG but also any passive pick. Awesome!
