Features :
Pickup features: Humbucking Frame/Single Coil Sound/Active
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Schecter Stiletto Elite-4
Position: neck
Pickup being replaced: Stock EMG-HZ (Neck)
Other pickups on guitar: Stock EMG-HZ (Bridge)
Artists using this pickup: None that I've heard of.
You musical style(s): Jazz/Funk
Reason for pickup change: Stock pickups were generic and not very punchy and had little tone.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Strong and much better than EMG-HZ.
Tone: Very well rounded smooth tone that is perfect for jazz and just as good for funk.
Sonic evaluation: I replaced both the bridge and neck pickups with this new pickup. Same pickup but in different positions means a HUGE tone change. You can get any sound you want and can go way into extremes when you turn one or the other off.
My 100W combo just doesn't have the beef that this bass now has because of these pickups. I need a punchy stack to fully enjoy the new sound. A cross between a musicman and a fender jazz pickup when in treble boost mode.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Funk/Jazz. Perfect for it. Good for any position.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I could not have bought any other pickup. I wanted a jazz pickup and it had to be in a humbucking housing. This is the only one that would fit but it was worth $300 in parts and labor for installation, new knobs, new strings, and basically a MUCH better bass because of it all.
