For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: rock, blues, funk. The Select J's are very clean and good for most applications. Don't expect alot of growl.

Comments: If stolen I would get something else if the budget allowed. Great deal for the money. I've been playing for over 20 years and own a '78
fender p bass, a '81 musicman stingray 5, my Robin project bass(robin body, WD jazz neck, whatever jazz style pickups I can get for a good price). I like the select price and overall sound. I do not like the
typical single coil buzz(not the worst i've heard) and the low E string output. Great deal for the $45 I spent.
