Features
:
Humbucking passive blade style pickup in a single coil size. 10K DC resistance.
Instrument
:
Fender Squier Bronco Bass. My wife plays this when she is singing, she has rather small hands.
The pickup I am replacing is the EMG Select SES.
I changed this pickup because the EMG had no character.

This is a medium output pickup. Higher and lower output verions are avalable from GFS.
We are plugging the bass directly to an impedence matching input of our sound board, no effects.
The tone is balanced and articulate and makes even this little, cheapy student bass sound like a "real" bass. When I hear it now, all I can think of is that it has a "curved" tone, which I know makes no sense at all.
Our act is a little bit of everything, it depends on the crowd, and this bass and this pickup work great for that variety style.
I would say, try this pickup in any bass that can accomodate a single coil guitar pickup.

I would definately use this pickup again in a Bronco Bass.
My wife plays this bass(out of performance necessity), she has been playing it for about 5 years.
I love the tone, and the price, hate nothing.
I compared (online) this pickup the the Seymour Duncan Hot and Cool Rails. I chose this one after reading bass blogs.
I have no plans to try any other pickup in her bass.
The leads from the pickup came pre-tinned and pre-soldered together, nice touch.
I am using a 500k volume pot and have bypassed the tone control entirely.
