Other pickups on guitar: stock crappy hartke pickups
Artists using this pickup: Hartke: none GuitarPartsDepot: come stock on all esp ltd guitars
You musical style(s): Grunge and alt big fan of the pixies
Reason for pickup change: My customer didnt like the fact that her bass sounded like a dull pile of garbage.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: Very hot cheap pickups comparable to my dimarzio ultra jazzes I use a bit more Trebly though
Tone: Trebly Very strong loud and powerful
Sonic evaluation: Behringer ultrabass 3000 300 watt head into a crate 4 x 10 cab. For $31 these pickups make me almost regret getting my $100 dimarzios for my jazz. I love these pickups.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: they are very versatile better used for stuccato slap than anything i can think of
Overall Rating
:
10
Comments: If I ever get another jazz bass to modify I will put a set of these in they are simply superb. Not as warm as my ultra Jazzes I use but pretty damn close to same out put with better hum cancelling. And they are $31 friggen dollars for a set.
