Jim Dyson Guitars P bass style

Handmade, single coil, passive P bass style pickup. Alnico pole pieces wound with enameled copper and wax dipped to eliminate squeal.

I installed these on a custom made bass guitar made of Australian timbers (Qld Maple + Jarrah). Going for a unique Australian sound so there was no other option than to use these handmade pickups. Jim's daughter Mia plays with these pickups and the tone she gets is amazing.

These babies are where it's at for bass tone. They produce a very defined and articulate tone which is enhanced by the Fender 400 Pro Combo I run them through. For the bluesier numbers the bass response is smooth and clear. For the funkier tunes the treble position is punchy and strong. These pickups have their own charachter and they sound unique.

If these were stolen I would definitely replace them - they are that good. For me the search has finished for "that" sound. I have found it and it feels good.
