WOW, these pickups are truly incredible! They completely eliminated the hum. In fact, no matter which pickup I select (bridge, neck or both combined), there is no hum. The output is excellent, especially with the Thomastik-Infeld strings I use. It produces all of the tones of a standard J-Bass pickup set with much more clarity. Each individual note can be distinctly heard, no matter what style of music is played. The balance in volume is perfect between the neck and bridge pickups.

These are the best pickups I've installed in any of my bass guitars. They're not cheap, but they are definitely worth the money if you are looking for a noiseless, split-J set. Stan Hinesley provides the very best in customer service and support (www.has-sound.com).

split coil jazz bass set, passive.

Installed in a MIM fender jazz (classic) bass.
Replaced the stock fender pickups due to its
flat sound and hum.

The pickups sound rich and clear.
Full sounding without the harshness
that I get from active pickups.
I play blues and classic rock, and the split j set turned my
mexican fender into my #1 bass.

These pickups are high quality.
Far better than any others I have tried, (emg , seymor duncan, fender). I would like to get another set for my other bass.
I really felt that I got more than my monies worth. Couldn't
be happer.
