Does ok for what I play (Blues, Country, rock). I use an old Traynor TS-60B amp at low to moderate volume. With the amp's graphic Eq, It sounds like a Fender P bass. Likes: it was cheap. Dislikes: I guess you can't complain about a bass guitar that was this cheap.

Factory set-up was Horrible. Factory strings were a joke. The action was VERY high, I guess to keep the cheap strings from buzzing and popping. The pick-up was ok, the other electronics weren't so good. Every thing was tight and fit together pretty good, it has a nice finish. To play it I had to (1) change the strings (2) shim the neck (3) adjust the truss rod (4) set thee pick-up height

Not to be used for live jobs. If you play for money, for god sakes be a pro. Save up and buy something befitting a pro. OK for an at home, leave out for anyone to play Bass.

I started playing about twenty tears ago. If I had a chance to play this Bass first, I wouldn't have purchased it. I bought it based on reviews that I read. After working on it, it plays better than cheap Bases costing more $$. This is the first guitar I bought without trying it first. It turned out ok, but i'll never do it again. TRY IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT. You get what you pay for.

I'm mostly a guitar player, but this thing can get any sound I need.I play anything except country.Very full sound. Not noisy at all.The tone control doesn't offer a lot of variation, but it's fine for me.

As long as you aren't a stupid ass that beats their instruments instead of playing it,you should be all right.I mostly record at home, but I will be depending on it for a long time.If it craps on me, I'll update everyone.Strap buttons are solid.Hardware is very high quality for such an inexpensive bass.

I bought it at Music 123,and they were very helpful before and after the sale.Warranty is 1 year, so that should be enough time to tell if it will last.

I've been playing regular guitar for 25 or so years,so I know quality when I see it.I'm trying to be critical.but this thing is incredible.I compared it to all other bargain basses, and figured I'd give it a try.I'm SO glad I did. What I want is for experienced bass players to try one, because I'm mostly a regular Gutar player and may be missing something. At VERY least, it's a lot better than those silly machines that try to make bass sounds, and just sound.....well,silly.Come on, experienced bassists, call Music 123 and try an ASC bass! (p.s. it even came with a cheap 8 foot cord!)
