It's a general P-bass knock off; EMG split coil pickup; one tone and master volume control, 1/4" jack. 20 frets. 4 strigs. The pickup is pretty versatile I can get alot of tone out of it, from really trebly stuff to punchy metal stuff. I have drop tuned this bass to drop C (if you choose to believe it) and it still feels good. The neck is thicker than that of a Squier, yet it's still not too thick. Its bridge is good. My tone pot is really loose though and one os the screws in the Pickguard randomly fell out on day. The jack doesnt hold onto to cable very well as it always seems to fall out! I altered the height of the pickups when I got the bass because they were touching the strings. The tuners seem to be under a lot of strain as they are at quite an angle in the headstock. The nut wears away when you change to light strings. Despite all of this I still love the thing!

I play / have played punk, pop, hardrock, metal, funk, country with this bass and it has suited everyone of those styles. However it could do with more bottom end, but that may have been because at the time of some of those I had a starter amp but on my new amp it still sounds good. It is perfect for punk or ska kind of music as it provides a light, almost twangy tone yet still kicks into some heavyness when asked to.

When I bought the thing at my nearest guitar shop I got it because I wanted to learnt to play bass and this was reduced in the shop. After altering the pickups it has been good to me, the pickups are in a good place to get tone and sound from it. The neck is thick however it isnt uncomfortably think.
The finish; this is what lets the bass down. I HATE THE FINISH ON THIS BASS! It is a horrible colour that looks white at first glance, but after an hour you realise that it is a mixture or blue and white which is horrible next to the white pickguard. There is a huge chip in the corner of this bass, thats why it was reduced! I have put stickers and stuff on this bass to cover the colour however it wont go away. I suppose if i didnt like it enough then I would get it refinished when I have money so I cant let this alter my decision too much!

The finish will come off wih time. This bass has been trampled; thrown; dropped and everything else! Yet if you try really hard it will break or scratch! It is THE tank as far as P-bass copies go so i would depend on it in a gig! The strap buttons hold the strap on as well as they should. Pretty sturdily attached to the body of it. I have never adjusted this bass majorly apart from the said change of the pickups.

I got this bass a year and a half a go when I started playing bass and ever since then I have loved it, the feel is good, the neck is good, it is great value for money. As with everything there is room for improvement, colour of the thing and tuners are my two miggles with it. After playing a Fender P-bass I am utterly surprise how much they feel the same. This bass will last you years if properly maintained.
I would get one again if lost or stolen or if I found one I could afford now.

this was my first ever bass and i still have it today. it was made in japan and has 20 frets which i think is not enough. It is a 4-string and a laminated top. It has tone volume controls one for each pickup and another control for tone. It has AXL emg pickups. Mine has a maple neck and a natural finish and is a jazz body. Quite average for a biginers bass.

This bass is great for that jazzy funk sound but if you are more of a heavy metal player then this is not the bass for you. It has a great smooth sound but sometimes a bit noisy. When i first bought this bass i used a simple 15 watt tiny little AXL amp which was pretty rubish but alright for a first practice amp. The bass sounds really nice when slapped and popped.

When i first got it the bass set up at the factory was prety awfull, the action was much too high and very hard to slap. The pickups are adjusted prety well. The major flaw i have had is the finish, on the neck the varnish chipps away without even being damaged and the body chipps very easily.

I have never used this bass live becuase when i started gigging i straight away got a newer bass as this one would be prety poor for that and is simply a beginners bass. The finish does not look like it will last much longer but i have had it for about 7 years and the finish started chipping and wearing away after about one year. The strap buttons are awfull and the strap falls off alot. I Would never use this bass for gigging.

I have been playing for 7 years and now own a warwick corvette 5_string which i am extremly pleased with. I bought this bass when i forst started playing the bass and it fullfilled its job very well and is a very good begginers bass. If you are starting to learn the bass i strongly recomend this bass but you might find your self buying a better one in a year or two.

It was made within the past calender year 03-04. Made in China. It has the look and feel of Fender P-Jazz bass. The same amount of frets(nice and large). The neck is comparable. 4 stringed bass with a Coffee brown appearance and a reddish tortoise pick guard. 2 volume and 1 tone control with EMG (which I really like). The body is Alder and the neck is rosewood. EMG designed p/u for this model. It has a very nice finish to it. Standard tuners and bridge and it came with Fender Strings already.

I try to play a variety of styles i.e Funk jazz rock new-age pop and old school. The Fender sound help develop these genres, so this is perfect for those styles. I do not have an amp. It was stolen with my copy Jazz bass last month, so this is the replacement bass. I will p/u a Behringer (2x10). I play this thru my Tascam porta studio w/headphones until next month. From what I heard in the 2 days I've had this is. No fret buzz. The next is straight. The P/U are amazingly good for the price of the bass $119.99 + s/h. It is good for most styles of music from yesteryear to today, unless your way out there in creating your own sound. I play thru a Digitech GSP21.
I can use it on stage or in studio..
The only dislike is the neck was missing 1 inlay dot, which is small potatoes to me, but might freak the next guy out. Because this is supposed to be a new bass. But for this price I'm not complaining. I informed the Seller of the flaw and he was more than happy to do an exchange or a refund of sometime.

The action is rarily satitisfiable to us who play. Most people who make instruments, do not play so how are they to know what we prefer. I would be floored if the action was ready out of the box, for any guitar or bass. The finish is top notch, nuff said. The p/u i will tweek with later on. The knobs and tuners are solid as solid can be. I can't score this too high because the neck was a little dry and we are missing one inlay dot

This bass will outlive my playing desire, unless it gets stolen from me. The hardware will be there. The finish, only time will tell..
I've only had it 2 days so I will let you know in a 10 years or so.
I would gig with this thing..It's more about how good you are than how expensive your bass is.

This guy in Longview, Texas was the only guy out there in Ebay land with this type of bass P-Jazz with 2 p/u. 1 split and one bar. One of a kind color. I had to take a chance on it. He shipped it out so fast, it took about 4 days. I was very pleased. I explained about the compensation or exchange. I was pleased again. He is a person I would recommend and/or buy from in the future. If it breaks I will have it repaired. It has a 5 year warranty(mmm..)

I've been playing bass about 10 years, guitar for 30 years. I had a 79 Strat (left-handed), a 5 string gray Rogue bass and a copy Jazz bass all stolen last month with my Fender Squire amp. Besides this new bass I have a 78'Gibson the Paul( I guess the thieves arms were to full to take that one, it's very heavy). I have to replace my arsenal so I started with this bass. I would buy this bass again if stolen. It's a good buy for very little money. I like the above stated features EMG's,split P/U dual at that. Unique color. Solid workmanship. I do this as a hobby so I am not as picky as someone who makes his or her living at bass playing. It's a little bit lighter in weight than my copy Jazz bass. I like that. I do not dislike anything about it. I would compare it to a Fender Squire bass or my friends Musicmans bass in tone and playablility but at far less the cost. With out being redundant, see above comments about why I chose this bass.
I would like to share one final opinion with you players out there.
I been around long enough to see a lot of changes in the auto industry, the electronic industry and now the instrument industry.
The Asian manufacturers will take front and center one day like they did in autos and electronic products. They are making top notch instruments just as good if not better than Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker. At a fraction of the cost. They are all ready making them. It's just a matter of time
