9
Made in China
5-string, fretted
Solid alder body w/ maple neck
Controls for volume, treble and bass
1 active AXL pickup
Sunburst finish
Precision body style
Bridge is G&L type saddle
I give this a 9 only because there is one feature that would've been nice: a switch for active/passive mode similar to the Rogue 5-string active bass.
The potentiometers are quiet and heavy duty with smoothe taper, no complaints here.

I use this bass with a Behrenger UltraBass BX600 60-watt combo. I had the bass set up by the dealer with Rotosound long-scale flatwounds. I can achieve a range of tones from low and mellow Raggae to trebly Geddy Lee and everything in between. No noticable noise from the pickup. The low B is monstrous! I would say that, with the controls and all amp EQ's set at neutral, the sound leans more toward the bright side with high-mids than warm and muddy. However, a warm and muddy sound can be dialed in with controls.
I also own a Rogue "Hofner Beatle Bass" copy strung with flatwounds and I use that when a vintage "Pre-1966 McCartney" sound is required.

The dealer set up the bass with flatwounds, as mentioned before. Everything was adjusted to my specifications, so I cannot speak of the factory setup. I can say that the fretwork and hardware were all free of flaws. Everything on this bass is solid.
I can say that the action is wonderful all the way up the neck to the last fret, no buzz to be found. The neck plays every bit as good as my G&L L1000 and Musicman Stingray.

The hardware definitely seems like it will last. The tuning keys are tight and of high quality, and the bridge and knobs are heavy duty as well. The finish is top notch. This bass inspires every confidence that it will hold up well for live use.

The bass itself comes with a lifetime warranty and any support is to be had through the dealer.

I've been playing bass for about 15 years. I own a G&L L1000 4-string, and a Rogue violin bass. Until recently I owned a Musicman Stingray and Rickenbacker 4003. I'd rank this bass up there with those in terms of playability and sound. I do not believe there is any one bass that is perfect for every application, but if I had to carry only one with me, this would be it.
I love the fact that the bass compares in quality of construction and sound to instruments that cost me upwards of $2000 USD, whereas this bass cost under $300 USD. If it were stolen or lost, I'd buy another one just like it without hesitation.

Made in China. Solid Alder body and one piece maple neck. Comes with a single, passive humbucker, made I think by EMG. 1 Volume control and 1 tone control. Looks to be modeled after a Music Man Stingray or similar.

Nice fit classic tone. The humbucker seems to be very quiet as I get no buzz or unwanted sounds. Warm, fat tone, although there is enough edge for the pop/slap crowd if that's what you're looking for. The bass has a warm, rich funky sound with plenty of bottom and nice defintion.

I bought this bass mail-order and figured I have to do a complete set up. I was wrong. The action was very good with no fret buzz and the intonation was dead on. This one had a sunburst finish that was simply beautiful with no apparent flaws. The pickups were just a tad low for my taste, so I raised them to get a little more volume.

This bass is made of very good materials and seems rock solid. Not a lot of extras on it, so I wouldn't expect much to go wrong. Very solid.

I've been playing bass and guitar off and on for almost 20 years. I've owned several basses, including a '62 Fender Precision, Guild Pilot, and MIM Jazz Bass. This is simply a fantastic value instrument. Great finish, great setup, solid construction, and the tone is very good as well.
