Clearly the person who did the review of this bass before me is a FUCKING jerkface and does not know what he is talking about.alembic is a family owned business. care and support is one of their most important and distinctive features.
anyways the person who wrote the last review is obviously really IGNORANT FOOL.

USA Made in 1998. 5 string fretless, body similar to 3/4 size Series II, mutant walnut top, ebony board, brass nut, etc. Two active p/u's, bass, treble boost/cut and Q toggle. Pots are volume, pan and Q. Neck-through. No case.

Nice full sound with emphasis on the low-register.

Good action, even tone. Well-made instrument. Weighs a ton and neck dives like a hungry pelican, however. Your shoulder will ache if you hold this log all night.

Seems OK. Would take a backup, however.

The absolute worst. Weasels who lie and do nothing for you. I've never enountered worst customer service. These people suck, plain and simple!

Pretty good fretless 5 but way over-priced. Alembics are, in general, ridiculously over-priced for what they offer. I'd never buy another.
