An all around performer.The critical test for me is plugging into a mixing console.This gives you the real essence of the tone and quality of the electronics.This bass passed this test with flying colours!This being active make sure that you always have a couple of extra 9vlt batteries and a screwdriver around.This bass is built very well.I mainly use it in the studio and it's my go-to bass.Beautiful Full-Bodied sound changes dramatically with different types of strings; amazing upright sounds can be had by using flatwounds...experiment....

Just a great design.with proper care should last for many years....I like the bridge as it's simple and solid;I even like the oxidization of the brass.......

I don't care what instrument you play you should always have a back-up...Stuff happens in this friction universe...This bass is solid,although it lacks the neck-through construction it seems very solid;and it does offer sustain for days.the design offers something all guitars should have and thats solid metal ancors for the wood screws...you are not going to strip out the wood every time you need to take a backplate off exctera.

I only live an hour away from the factory.I recently called them up and they invited me to tour the facility and adjusted the neck and bridge intonation for free...nice people...expensive axes...buy used!!

This is a great bass,if you can find one on ebay for a resonable price you deserve to get it....If lost or other,I'd do my best to get another....new these are just too pricey! I think these with the custom wood go for about $4grand and you need to wait around 5-months...'nough said?
