Incredible sound, in and out of the studio. The Semour Duncan pickups are top notch. Little noise with highs turned all the way up. Very jazzy, punchy sound.

Purchaced new, with no complaints except for the action. Havent been able to adjust strings and neck to get the action exactly where I like it. Strings sit just a little to high off the board. Definately tolerable though, and would still highly recommend.

I have gigged weekly, and been in and out of the studio, using this bass as my first choice. Shows no wear. Still looks and plays like the day I bought it.

Terrific bass for money. Retail is well over $1300. If you can find one for under 6 or 7 hundred bucks, consider it a great deal. Semour Duncan pickups alone are worth that much.

This bass fits my style quite well. Normally I play rock, but I also play contemporary at church. Fills in the gig
I use a DI box most of the time & this bass shakes the walls, but not as much as say an ernie ball. Through an amp, this bass is very punchy and maintains clarity even at high volunes.
this bass is very quiet too-no hum.
this bass will sound sweet, brittle, dark & throaty, etc. just play with the EQ (active bass & treble). It does just about everything.
In the studio & on stage, this bass kicks out. you really only need one bass- a vesatile one...it's versatile.
Over all, this is a good bass. I don't like the resale though...it lists at $1495, but used ones go for about $450. thats insane!

this bass is set up nicely. the frets are well dressed. The action was a tad high, but it was easy to remedy.
the neck is smooth and fast
pickups straight kick outthe only gripe I had was the action-personal taste of lower action.

This bass will gig well as long as it's taken care of (i.e. put in case & on a stand), just like any other instrument. the hardware is good quality, as are the SD activepickups & finish. I cant comment on the strap buttons, because I changed them to dunlop straploks (only the best, baby).
I depend on this bass a lot, however I always prefer to take a backup, 'cuz you never know what that dern drummer's gonna do.(ha,ha!)

I've played bass for about 7 years, guitar for like 9. I still am primarily a guitarist. Bass wise I used own a '76 Gibson Ripper (Gene Simmons) that I traded for this; and guitar wise I have two late '70s Les Pauls, a strat, a Lindert Locomotive, a Dano doubleneck 12/6, and some acoustics (incl. a 12 string)
If this bass were stolen, lost or broken I'd probably go get another if I could find one or an Ibanez SGX4. If it were broken, I would definately repair it in my shop.
I love this bass, I bought it because it was affordable.
I'd also like to stress that the resale is crap. You will lose about a grand if you buy it new and then sell it.:(
