made in Korea. Not sure what year it is. Standard four string bass with 24 frets an ash carved and contoured top with a maple bolt-on neck, rosewood finger board. The pickups are Seymour Duncan designed P-type and J-type active single coils;
Controls are: volume, balance, and active EQ (treble, middle and bass)

I play pop, jazz, blues and rock in relatively small venues. The sound is woody and is tight and punchy The balance and EQ controls allow a lot of tonal variation. I used it through a 100 watt fender bass amp with no effects. I bought this bass because I really like the feel of it. The neck is nice and easy to play and the action was nice from the start. As the previous reviewer said as soon as I picked it up I knew it was the one for me. I think the sound is great no need to change anything pickup-wise.

Action and pickup setup was A1 from the word go. The finish is not glassy but the body wood has a very natural finish which allows the character of the timber to come thru both tonaly and in terms of the look

Haven't had anoy problems with it. The input jack is a little stiff. Looks and feels tough enough to take a bit of punishment. Hardware is matt chrome. Strap buttons are nice and solid. I gig regularly without a back-up - no probs

I have been playing for over 20 years. If it were stolen i would either replace it or buy somthing very similar. It's a great bass, especially for the price. I paarticularly love the feel and look.

I play a variety of covers and also a fair amount of gospel type music, although my passion is blues and blues-rock. I quite like a fairly punchy sound which this bass delivers well, with the active bass and volume up full and everything else set in the middle. I have used it mostly through a Trace-Elliot amp with an 11 band EQ and a Marshall amp with a 7-band EQ, both of which I normally set to a smiley pattern. I also almost always use a Boss CS-3 compressor.
I bought this particular bass after trying out a good few in various shops. This was one of those instruments that as soon as I picked it up I knew it was the one for me. It sounds particularly good to my ears both live and when recording, and I have never had any reason to fault the sound. The pickups are "Duncan-designed" and sound better than they should considering the price of this instrument.

I particularly like the natural finish and contoured body. I regularly mess around with the set-up and string types so can't quite remember what the original set-up was like.

For the first couple years I had it the jack socket was a bit stiff and I even accidently ripped it out once, however a quick soldering job got it all working again. It doesn't feel quite as solid compared to a Fender Jazz or even a Music-man, but being much smaller and lighter it doesn't hurt the shoulder much at all and is great to play if you like jumping around.

I have owned this bass for four years and will have sold it by this afternoon in preparation for upgrading to a Fender Jazz. I got it out this morning to have a last bash and began to feel a bit sad that it was going. It has got me through a good few gigs and performed really well as my first ever bass. I think I am being a bit of a snob now that I have left university and have more money, wanting a "bigger, better, more expensive" guitar just because I can.... but really this bass has served me will and most likely would keep going impressively well for its price.
