Ok. Firstly, I am not sure if i got the model right. I bought it second hand, and there was no indication of the model anywhere on the box, no serial number on the bass either. The only thing on it was 'MAB-09' handwritten on the box.

I am guessing it is made in 1994, as i found out from Aria's website wherer they have an archive of their products. Clueless as to where it's made as the sticker which says where it was made is torn out.

It's a 5 string, 24 fret bass. There are 2 volume nobs and 1 tone nob. THere are 2 Humbucking pickups (i think). Passive pickups.

Sound : 8
I use the bass only for 2 things. To play at home and to play for church services. At home, I use it with an Ashdown 15 watt, think it's the 'after 8' . It has a very nice warm sound, and if i want to have it sounding lmore funk, i guess turn up the treble on the amp and it kinda becomes more funk. But definitely, it was made to give a warm sound. In church, i use it with a old 400 Watt Peavey amp (which i was told is actually a keyboard amp). As such, the sounds not all that nice. It's best at home with my little 15 watter.

As the strings are closely spaced, it's real tough to try to do any slapping on it, and even then, it wun sound all that nice, unless i got some effects or a more versatile amp to play it with.

Overall, i really do like the warm sound it produces.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I bought it second hand. Apparently, it was left kept in a box, un-used for a couple of years. AND THE TRUSS ROD WAS LEFT COMPLETELY LOOSE! needless to say, the action was terrible. it was terrible to play it when i first tried it. the only reason i bought it was that the sound was nice!

So i went home, adjusted the truss rod, adjusted the pickups (as they were to far from the strings to my liking), adjusted the saddle... the usual stuff .. and once that was all done, it was very much playable.

As for the finishing and the wood, it seems to be pretty decent! no problems with tuning mechanisms, electronics and the body of bass so far.

Since i bought this second hand and the bass was obviously left in a bad condition, i wun give a rating for this category. But once everythign was done up, it's prettty decent.

Reliability/Durability : 8
DEfinitely withstands live playing. Hardware lasting! no problems. Finish decent! no problems with that too, doesnt seem like it will deteriote much anytime soon.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Nope, never dealt with the company! No idea if there's a warranty for it at all

Overall Rating : 7
Been playing bass for 5 years now. before i bought this, i was using a 5 string cort that belongs to my church. This is the only bass i own, although i have 2 other guitars. The only problem i have with the bass is that the corner of the neck nearest the 1st string is a tad too sharp for my liking. Other than that, it's good enough for me.
