Aria "Precise" Bass, this is a good copy of a Fender Jazz Bass actually, 2 passive pups, narrow nut etc. Solid Body, probably ash, maple neck, r/wood fingerboard. 2x vol 1xtone, you know the stuff. 4 Strings. 20 Frets. This was made in 1978 by Matsumoku in Japan. Y'know a JB is a JB-- whaddaya want for features-- It has block inlay and a bound neck.

It suits my music. Mainly it gets played through qa Selmer T'n'B SV 100 (did I say LOUD) and a Carlsbro reflex cab. Not noisy. Warm sound, plenty growl, plenty top if you want it. Very versatile actually, more so than my old Fender P-Bass. I can't find any fault with the sound-- the pups are great.

This was 25 yars old when I got it so I doubt this section is relevant. If you're buying a used one of these you need to give it a good once-over-- some people have a habit of taking their old bass and shoving it in the loft with the heavyweight flatwound strings tuned up and 15 years later the neck looks like a banana, so watch out. It's an especial problem with old Jap basses that people thought for ages weren't worth much-- now they're collectable.

Built like a tank, er, a Fender. It'll stand anything you can throw at it. Everything is very well made as you'd expect.

Me? I've been playing since 1968. Most of my other stuff is guitars, also a mando, several fiddles and a lute. Couple of African drums cos I do a bit of percussion too. Oh and there's an organ in the garage I'll get rounf to fixing some day. If it were lost or stolen I'd be upset--it would be tough to get something as good now, unless I bought a US or Jap Fender, which would cost real money. Share? Yeah, if you see one buy it.

Aria Pro II Precise Bass. Solid Construction w/ maple neck and open key tuners. P-bass one-pickup split construction. This is Burgundy/ red/white/red laminate pick guard with volume & tone knobs, Full scale neck with black position markers and medium wide neck and black position markers. GOOD NECK and big tuners. I don't know what country it was manufactured in but late 70's early 80's Japanese I think. This is not a "cheap" copy...... well built!

Pretty much a P-Bass sound!! Not really noisy and the stock PU is as good as any thing Fender is putting in its' second-tier basses today.

I bought this Bass already "beat up." The previous owner didn't have much respect for this instrument as evidenced by a couple of deep hack marks. However the gouges reveal at least 6 coats of paint/finish. This Bass is gigging now and is rock-solid reliable. It has taken a serious beating physically and still rocking!

I have been playing for 30 years. Primary instrument is guitar, but I have been playing Bass as well for 25 years. for a P-bass this is as good as any current Jap/Mex Fender out there! They just don't make instruments with this kind of materials for this price! In fact, I don't even know if you can but a solid wood Bass for less than $750 nowdays.

Korean made, basically the Pro II equivalent of a p-bass with thinner horns, slightly offset waist and the four in-line "Pro II" headstock. Sunburst finish, maple neck and fingerboard, sealed tuners, standard 4-saddle bridge. 1 rather generic sounding split pickup. Simple but functional.

I was playing blues/classic rock at the time and I could get all the basic tones out of it. An aftermarket pickup would have greatly improved the sound, however.

The action was good, I never changed it. I don't even think I ever put new strings on it. I got it as a utility instrument to take to jam sessions and practice, so if it had required too much work I wouldn't have gotten it in the first place.

Built like a rock. I didn't even have a case for it. I just threw it in the front seat of my car and off I went. I took it some gigs as a backup but never had to use it.

I bought it from a friend of mine who wanted to buy a distortion pedal. Eventually I traded it in on some guitar tuning machines and a soundhole pickup. It was great to have something that you could lug around and not worry about but still played and sounded fairly good. For $50 bucks it was a real bargain. I could have upgraded the pickup but that would have defeated the original purpose.
