This bass fits my style quite well. Normally I play rock, but I also play contemporary at church. Fills in the gig
I use a '68 vox kinsington and a new peavey KB/A...both good amps. this bass shakes the walls, but not as much as say an ernie ball.
this bass is very quiet too.
this bass will sound sweet, brittle, dark & throaty, etc. just play with the EQ. It does just about everything.
In the studio & on stage, this bass kicks out. you really only need one bass- a vesatile one...it's versatile.
Over all, this is a good bass. I don't like the resale though...it lists at $1495, but used ones go for about $450. thats insane!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
this bass is set up nicely. the frets are well dressed.
pickups straight kick
the pickguard is crap.

Reliability/Durability : 7
This bass will gig well as long as it's taken care of (i.e. put in case & on a stand. the hardware is good quality, as are the pickups & finish. I cant comment on the strap buttons, because I changed them to dunlop straploks (only the best, baby).
I depend on this bass a lot, however I always take a backup, 'cuz you never know what that damn drummer's gonna do.

Customer Support : No Opinion
don't want to or have to

Overall Rating : 6
I've played bass for about 7 years, guitar for like 9. I still am primarily a guitarist. Bass wise I also own a '76 Gibson Ripper (Gene Simmons) and guitar wise I have two late '70s Les Pauls, a strat, a Lindert Locomotive, a Dano doubleneck 12/6, and some acoustics (incl. a 12 string)
If this bass were stolen, lost or broken I'd probably go get an Ibanez SGX4. If it were broken, I would definately repair it in my shop.
I love this bass, I bought it because it was affordable.
I'd also like to stress that the resale is crap. You will lose about a grand if you buy it new and then sell it.
