My Aria Pro 2 TSB-400 was made somewhere in between 1980 and 1983. The bridge seems to knock the G string out of tune and seems to break stings thicken than 100.

Sound : 10
The Bass gets g a great low sound through my Fender BXR and even better with my Arion Distortion Pedal.I perfer it on tremelo.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
This bass is extremely durable. I have droped down the steps and not even seen a scuff mark.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Best Bass durability wise i have ever seen.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I never needed to contact the company.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing this bass for a year and love the tone and the durability. I would buy it in a heart beat. Although i am replacing the Bridge

4 strings, 22 frets, made in Japan, Serial # 1080626, solid body: fender strat shape, clear finish shows dark wood with maple? stripe through center, neck: rosewood fingerboard on maple, pewter colored inlay dots, can't tell if nut is bone or plastic, tuners have depth (ie. not flat stampings) and are arranged 2 on either side of the head, head (where tuners are) is dark like body on maple, 1 volume, 1 tone, 1 3-way pickup switch, jack is on face of body (not edge), 2 pickups: aged plastic to match maple, each pickup has 8 magnets (2 rows of 4 offset) sorry, I don't know much about pickups! I bought new approx. 1980/81 in hardshell case. Played in church settings only. Guitar is mint-like it was bought yesterday, could hang it up for sale in music store as is!

Sound : 7
I've run this through a Fender and Peavey amp and the only drawback is that the low strings come through loud and clear but the upper strings especially the high G has to be really pulled to get sound even using high quality round wound strings. Not good. I think it might be the quality of pickups, not sure - can anyone advise? No names are on the pickups.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It has a beautiful feel. I would rather get the sound fixed than trade. Very nice workmanship.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I use this guitar live with 100% confidence. I've never had any parts come loose or break. Have used for a recording session as well (as long as I compensate for the sound issue described above). After 22 or 23 years it's like new so it's "earned" a 10!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with the company until now (after this post, I'm going to email them with inquiries about the "sound" issue). I'll post back here if they give me anything worthwhile posting.

Been playing off and on since about 1980/81. I didn't know anything about basses so I went to buy the most expensive one, but it had something wrong with the jack (loose connection), not a good start, so I ended up with the next lower priced bass. If it were stolen I would get something different only if for the change, and because the money situation is a little different now ;)
I'd like to try my hand at electric 6 string like an Fender EC model stratocaster, any converted bass players out there with feedback???
