Basic P-Bass copy. I think it's made in Japan or some third world country like that, basic controls one volume one tone. Has passive pbass pickups. Not sure what wood it's made of (looks like slabs of random wood slapped together) rosewood fingerboard, maple neck. It has a rather nice looking sunburst finish. Crappy butterfly tuners and standard bridge. Neck is medium thick. Has a white pickguard.

I'm a newbie to playing bass but I've come a long way and hve tried lots of different brands on different amps in stores. The precision pickup is too quiet compared to most others ive tried on squire and fender pbasses. Only has two really useful tones--a pretty pbassy tone-sounds sharp and bight on treble settings and bassy on the lower tone setting. It's done the job for me so far, but not recommended for experienced musicians.

When I bought this bass, It's finish was nicely polished and flawless. After two years of owning it, it's got dents and scratches everywhere, and I don't treat it that poorly. The necks actually held up pretty well and I haven't had to adjust the action yet. Fretwork is pretty cheap. The bolts holding the pickguard near the input jack have started coming loose and tear the threads so I had to glue them in. Electronics have crapped up on me five times, and I've had to reinforce the connections from the pickups to the control pots.

I haven't used this bass in a live performance, but i'm afraid it's going to fall apart on me. I'd use this strictly as a last-resort if all of your other basses have busted (if you bothered with this bass in the first place).

If you see this bass on a rack in your local instument store, ask the owners why they bother trying to sell a piece of crap like that. This is my first bass, and the only one I could afford at the time. I would have bought a much better bass if I had the choice, belive me.

don't know much about where its made or when either but i do know thats its a 4 string 22 fret i think, 1 volume 1 tone 1 pickup, maple neck rosewood fretboard, sunburst finish, very p-bass looking, non-locking butterfly tuners, free gig bag. very very basic features for a bass but i gave it some extra points for a very nice looking sunburst finish and pretty nice shape too.

i personally am not crazy about the sound of the bass, i have a 50 watt peavy amp. i play every kind of music. very hard to slap and pluck and doesnt sound very good when you get it. but i guess the sound is ok, it gets the job done but it could be better. the low notes sound muffled and unclear and the high notes are very flimsy and not so bright, middle notes are ok. i think that this bass is equally good for recording as it is for playing live. i played live with it and it actually performed better than i expected and ive recorded with it and have had no mahor problems but it still has a low quality sound. and slides sound really bad too.

everything was ok except that the knobs are kind of loose and it tends to sometimes vibrate around the head/neck area when i play it at a medium loudness.

ive played live and it lasted but this bass seems much more durable than it is reliable. ive accidentally hit it a couple of times and it still looks new. ive been playing bass for a while but i only bought this bass a year ago from a friend and i dont have problems with it yet but something tells me that any day something's gonna break down.

i've been playing bass and guitar for about five years, i own a guitar, fender squier m70, and am really surprised at how good it is, check out the comments and reviews for it. but this bass was not a very smart buy, its very good for beginners but as you get better you start to realize that the bass needs a lot of improvement. i would trade it for pretty much any other bass at the same caliber. the only thing i do like about it is the shape and the color.

Made in 2001 i'm guessing. Made in good ol' St. Louis, MO. It has a tone and a volume controls. One P-bass pickup Neck is maple with rosewood fretboard, good playable stuff. it has this cool looking transparent red finish. It looks cool for a cheap bass. P-bass knock off. P-bass bridge, P-bass this, P-bass that... Butterfly tuners that stay in tune fairly well. Neck is ok. Kinda halfway between being really fat and somewhat medium. It came with a gig bag. Hooray for free crap!

I play every type of music ever created. But when in a group, i'm playing mostly blues, punk, ska, jazz, rock. It works good. Good solid sound. A little flabby (is that really an adjective you can attribute to sound?) on the E string. the highs aren't particlarly bright. Good on stage.

Factory set up was crap. I had to totally change the bridge and saddle settings. After changing the saddle height, the action was nice and low, fast, and cheesy. I recently had to get the neck reset because it was going all funky like. That was probably because i moved to PA in the winter and that made some weirdness. pickups were good. haven't touched them. The control pots are loose so I have to be careful when changing settings so I don't totally wrech them out of place.

I jam for long periods of time with one band. My bass never fails me. The hardware has lasted me so far. I think it will continue to last. Only thing that is not reliable is the neck. If the climate changes drasticly, the neck goes all funkadelic. The finish is nice, the buttons are solid. It can withstand gigging. i'd gig without a back up becuase i have no other bass, I'm broke, and i'm usually a guitar player.

If you are starting out, this is probaly a good bass to buy. I wuld recommend it for a backup or a starter, but not for the main thing.

It's a China-made 4-string P-bass copy I bought in 1998. It's got 1 p-style pickup with 1 volume & 1 tone knob. Sunburst finish, Maple neck, rosewood fretboard, not really sure what the body is made of (hardwood?), but I'll guess plywood. About as basic as a bass can get.

It sounds ok, gets the job done. The pickups have pretty low output, the low E string sounds like mush, even w/ new strings. Not much variety in the sound, but then again, I only needed a cheapo to lay down basic bass tracks when recording.

This bass was actually setup pretty well. Comfortable to play, pretty lightweight. I couldn't find any flaws wood. The jack was pretty loose, but other than that it's solid.

The simplicity of this bass makes it pretty reliable. I'll consider using it as a back-up, but only as a last resort.

I've been playing for about 11 years (metal, alt., rock). My other bass is an Epiphone Explorer, which puts this Austin to shame. If it's stolen, I'll just go out and buy a real P-bass. I can't complain too much, I bought it knowing it was cheap. Other than the low E string sounding like puke, I'd say it's decent as a cheapo.
