Is the 2003 made in America Warlock bass. 4 string. Maple neck thru body design with ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, large diamond abolone inlays. Solid alder body. Black with chrome hardware. Badass 2 bridge, dual Dimarzio P pups, Grover tuners. Vol, vol, tone, & 3 way pup selector switch. Widow headstock. Comfy slim fast neck. Got with BC Rich form fit hardshell case. No wrenches for truss rod or bridge adjustment. Which is surprising since thats pretty std with most instruments. Large strap buttons which is unusual. BC Rich is about the only mfg I know of that hasdecent size srap buttons stock so that shoulder is secure on em. Very nice overall.

Sound : 10
Excellent aggressive thundering tone with plenty of top end bite & cut thru. Best suited to heavier metal and such musics. Good variety of useful tonal range by adjusting each pups volume. Neck thru body design gives excellent sustain, attack & fulness to the voices. Balances well on strap with no neck dive.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
Ok heres the frustations that had when got it out of the box & its case. First: 3 of the pups had fallen out of their covers. So had to unscrew em and resecure em inside their covers. 1 of the screws on neck set for height adjustment was a good 1/4" too short to allow proper height adjustment So replaced all 8 screwswith better ones. Was unimpressed with the stock screws. Too get the pups out to fix em I of course had to remove the strings. At which pointthe bone nut promptly fell off. It wasnt glued on at the mfg during assembly. So once I fixed the pups & glued the nut on like was supossed to be everything was fine. o other problems. But deduct points for the two stated problems.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Well made. Once mfg assembly defects where fixed it became a solidly built instrument that performs very well. I also play a ESP LTD B305FM 5 string bass so has a nice backup should a string break while playing the Warlock. The ESP s my main bass with the Warock as alternate. Has good finish on it that is semi gloss rather then high gloss black. Which looks nice on it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Havent dealt with BC Rich directly.

Been playing bass since was 14 yrs old. Concidered a variety of other high end basses but decided on BC Rich American cause theyre my fave brand for american made. Loves it shape, sound & playability. Would replace it if lost or stolen. While I did seriously concider getting the neck thru NJ series version, decided to go with the American one cause I was more in the market for a high end passive bass. And could afford the price.
