I purchased this bass new in 2005 from Sam Ash for $240.00. I believe it is made in Korea. It has 24 frets. 2 single coil Jazz Bass Type Pickups. It has an active preamp with master volume, blend, treble and bass. It has a Mahogany bolt on neck with a black headstock. I am not sure what kind of tuners it has. The bridge looks like a badass copy and has string thru body. The body is kind of small but looks like a combination of a Peavey and a Jazz bass. The neck is fairly thin and the finish is transparent red. All the frets are nicely rounded on the edges. The only reason I don't give this bass a 10 in this catagory is because the pots are kind of cheesy and the headstock is really ugly. Also I would have prefered a different color than red.

Sound : 9
I have been playing bass for over 20 years. I mostly play my own original material a combination of early British rock, surf, funk, punk, jazz and country.I also own a Fender 52 jazz Bass and an Ibanez ATK350 5 sting. All I can say is that this bass blows them away. I have a hard time believing it considering the price. I use an Ampeg B2r head with a 1-15 classic cab. and an Ampeg 4-8 classic cab. This bass seems to sound like anything you want from a Musicman to a Fender Jazz or P bass.I must have tried 20, 5 strings in all price ranges before I bought this and nothing else sounded as good. I know as you are reading this you must be thinking this guy is crazy but you have to try this bass. Agin I did not give it a 10 only because it is a little noisy but no worse than a passive Jazz Bass.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The bass came set up pretty well I had no need to make adjustments. There are no flaws in the finish. As i said before if it had a different headstock and another color it would be great.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This bass sounds incredible live just used it at CBGB's and it rock the room. It seems pretty durable because it fell off the top of my amp and nothing happened to it. It was actually still in tune. i bring my Ibanez as a backup because I never trust these active basses. I am not sure what happens with this one if the battery goes. As with the Ibanez it just dies.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have only had it for a month and so far no problems soI don't know what it would be like to get it fixed.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I think I have already covered all of this.
