Single-cut 5-string with Aero dual coils(bubinga covers) and a John East u-retro preamp, this is good as it gets.
Specs: 35" scale, Hipshot bridge, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, myrtle burl top with an alder body.

This bass has the sound I've been looking for. Cliff Bordwell(owner/Luthier) of CB basses really helped me out when it came to choosing the woods and the electronics to achieve the tones I described to him.

I've owned many top end basses in my life and this CB is probably the best, or tied for the best that I've ever owned. The thing that puts this bass above the rest is the perfect fret job.
I guess this is the section that I would include this in. I have to make a comment on how comfortable this bass is. By far the most comfortable bass I've played standing up or sitting. Cliff had me explain to him how high I adjust my strap, what angle the bass sits at when I'm playing, and where do I usually anchor my thumb. Then he shaped it to my playing style. I can truly feel the attention to detail.

I've owned this bass for 6 months now and I play out 3-4 times a week.I have had no problems at all and this is my main bass.

As I said above, this bass "is the one" for me. After owning so many high end basses, I really believe that I have found the luthier that I will be working with from now on.
