I got this in 2001, says it was made in Indonesia, haha so whatever. It has a black body, white pickguard, 20 frets, one volume, one tone. Looks just like the P-Bass but the headstock is different of course and the fretboard is just maple rather than Rosewood like most. I actually bought mine as a package with a small Kustom amp, cable, strap, video, tuner, and picks.

It's a...Beginner bass. Budget bass. I play hardcore and it doesn't produce any kind of special tone compared to other basses I have played. I play through a practice amp for now anyways. But the pickups seem rather noisy. The tone control is alright, just dulls the sounds or brightens it. It doesn't sound well with the volume turned up all the way. Again, it is a beginner bass, it's made just like the Fender P-Bass, cant go wrong for a first bass. But any intermediate + will notice it's "crappiness."

I've had this for two years and mostly everything has been fine. Only problem was the the output jack kept turning and turning, and finally I plugged in my cable one day and it turned where the wires came off. I had to get it rewired. Then I had to replace it because it simply got bad. AFter two years, I simply had to reajust the action and saddle on it, bring it back to where I want it. The nob on the tone just fell off one day and now it doesnt go back on. It falls right off, doesn't stay. Finish is fine. Still looks good.

Like I said this is a beginner bass, I wouldn't recommend it for more than two years. It's had it's time. Just get some new strings after a year or so to brighten the sound. I've thrown this thing around, dropped it a few time and such. It's lasted a beating. Besides the nob falling off and the bottom strap buttom coming loose. =/

Well I got it repaired at my local shop. Never dealt with the company. My local guitar shop repairs everything and I have a lifelong warranty. So if anything is wrong with my guitars I bring it there and its fixed.

It's a great beginner bass don't get me wrong. But if you are looking for something good you should simply overlook it. I liked it because it has an overall decent feel and sound. It's playable. Similar to the P-bass. Nothing I loved really. I've fallen in love with the Ibanez BTB and Shecter Elites =P I think the Cort has LESS fretbuzz P-basses. Of course it's depending on the bass you have, but I'd prefer my cort over my friend's P-bass.

Just your standard white P-Bass copy. One noisy passive P-style pickup. One volume and one tone. The only thing that isn't copied from the fender style is the headstock. It is white with the Cort logo. 34" scale. bla bla bla. I'm borrowing it from my uncle.

My style is rock in the style of John Entwistle & Jack Bruce, and this somewhat suits that style. It's like a P-Bass, which is what they used, except the pickup is supposed to be hum cancelling. Not so. The tone is fair except for the fact that it buzzes. I use it with an SWR LA-15 and it feedsback at the higher volumes. And it's not always controllable feedback. So overall, fairly poor.

The finish is pretty much indestructable. My uncle kept it in a closet forever so it needed general cleanup. Other than that not too bad.

It seems durable enough, except for that damned noisy pickup.

Not the best, but for when I started beginning it was good enough. I don't think I will buy another Cort though, as they don't seem to be that good. Oh well. I now own a Washburn XB-102Q and it smokes the Cort. The Cort just stays in it's case now. So much for that "Cort of Appeal."

A standard 20 fret, four string bass. I was told when I bought a month ago it was brand new 2000 model, im not so sure about that. Label on it says it was made in Indonesia. Over all standard P-Bass eq: large tuneing keys, pickgurd, center pick up, wide neck...

I play punk and metal in a band, and it has done the job well enough. Ive played on a real Fender P-Bass once and it felt the exact same to this Cort model.

The action isnt too lose. Which is the case for most basses if played in the past that i didnt like. Im not very fond at how top heavy it is. Once I let the neck it drops down off balences me. Its an off white color, I would have liked another color but it was all that was avalible at the time.

Ive played live with it many times and it has done what I needed it to. My amp's late years was what effected the soundthe most. I usually dont have a back up on me when I go to gigs... Ive never had a bass brake on me when I needed it the most.

I bought it in a state of panic when my Ibenaz EX series bass broke on me (awsom bass... just brakes on me too much) and I needed a quick cheap replacement... and I got this Cort P-bass copy, which I am happy I did.

Ive been playing for 3 years now and I am very fond of the Jazz bass pick up, but this P-bass copy is great the way it is. If it was stolen I would by another if Im not able to afford the bass of my dreams (MusicMan Stingray).

Cort P-bass Copy. I bought it used, but it looks like it is a couple years old. 20 frets, 4 strings. 1 volume and 1 tone control. 1 p-bass pickup.Straight neck,Fender style bass tuners, and an actually nice sunburst finish. I got a gig bag and cablw with it for $88.50. Can;t go wrong for that price.

I play punk/emo/indie and it does the job just fine. I am using a Rogue 30 watt and Johnson 60 watt amp with this bass.It would sound a lot better through a better amp.The tone control works pretty good. I think a good sounding amp is the key here.

When I got this bass, the action was low which was good, because the it didn't buzz. The pickups are at just the height. The sunburst finish looks nice and the maple fretboard looks cool with the sunburst finish.

This bass looks like it is pretty sturdy. I would gig with this. Probably use it as a backup or for practices. The neck was straight and the body is solid but not heavy which is a good thing.

I have been playing only 4 months and own this and a Squier jazz bass. This bass was probably cheaper new than my Squier, but it sounds just as good maybe even better. If it were lost or stolen,I wouldn't get another because i bought for a cheap price. I am saving up for the Mark Hoppus bass or a Fender standard jazz. I need a better amp to get the full potential of this bass.Overall, this bass is a good bass for the money, and ideal for beginners to intermediate.
