This is a new 2009 model from Cort. I believe they are a european company. This bass has some great features, here they are (from their web site). I have owned this bass for about 5 months now.

Fingerboard: Rosewood, 15 3/4 radius
Frets: Large 24/2.7mm
Inlay: White Dot
Tuner: Die Cast

Nut: Graphite, Black
Bridge: EB7(4)
Pickups: EVL 35

My body color is Pear White, and looks great under stage lights!! It could have better bridge and tuners. That's why I rated it at an 8.
Sound

I play in two vary different style of bands. One is a Country/Rock cover band, and the other is a METAL band. So my sound varies a lot. With my cover band I have to have a nice deep rich tone and my METAL band I need a clean treble tone to cut threw my two guitarist (at 11). With the active EQ, I can CUT or BOOST right on the bass, without going to my bass head. If you like the tones of Les Claypool or Stew Hamm than you will love the tones from this bass. NO COMPLANTS YET!

Right out of the box (cliche), the set up was good, coming from over seas. The intonation was just a hair off, and the string height was a little to low (no buzzing anywhere) for my taste. I fixed it in just a couple of minutes. I play really hard with my fingers. People say to hard sometimes, in the moment I guess. The paint was flawless when I got it. I did drop it once, strap came off (strap locks you fool).
Reliability/Durability

I play out just about every weekend and on some week nights with both bands in one form or another. And I am practicing all the time (wife hates it cuz I'm gone all the time but she loves the money). So far I have had NO issues accept the battery went dead in the middle of our set, but that was my fault for not checking it.
I have taken it on the road with me with my METAL band and used it the hole time. I did take a backup but did not take it out of the van.
As far as the finish, it holds up great. I did drop it once but that was my falt too. I was useing it without strap locks and it came undone and when it hit the stage it put a nice ding in it (I was so mad at myself).

Haven't needed them yet. I usually fix everything myself if I can.

I have been playing for about 19 yrs now (started in 1990), and I have owned a lot of gear since then. I wish I would have had this bass yrs ago. I wish it came with a hard case, I had to buy that later. I also wish they had a 5 String version. If it were stolen I may break some arms then buy another one!! If I had to compare it to any of my other basses I would compare it to my Schecter Stiletto Elite 5, but this bass sounds better.
GO OUT AND CHECK THEM OUT, YOU WILL LOVE IT TO!!!!!
