Features : 9

Made in Korea in 1999.

34" long scale

Semi hollow, massonite top and bottom maple

Bolt on neck, rosewood fingerboard

Two vintage lipstick tube pick ups with individual volume and tone control.

Adjustable bridge

Black finish with white scratchplate.

No case or gig bag supplied.

This bass guitar doesn't have 'tons of features' but it has everything it needs for what I want the guitar to do.

Sound : 9

I use the guitar in conjunction with an Ashdown Evo II 500 bass amp.

This guitar gives you a good range of tones for the music i perform. I personally prefer it's clean woody natural sound (which i presume is the product of its semi-hollow construction) but it also has a great thick and dirty tone which I want to use more. it's not particularly noisy.

I use this guitar both on stage and in the studio and this guitar works admirably in both scenarios.

I play alt-pop and the guitar suits these needs very well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9

The bass was bought from 'Danguitars' and the set-up was good.

There was a problem with one of the tone pots but this was easily fixed by a luthier.

Reliability/Durability : 9

I use this bass in a live context regularly and it's not let me down yet. Don't let appearances deceive you - this guitar is remarkably durable.

I have and do use this bass guitar without backup.

I love this bass guitar. Its sound and appearance isn't to everybody's taste but it works for me. If it were stolen I would definitely buy another one.

1999 Made in Korea, 34" Long scale, Semi hollow, Massonite top and bottom Maple, bolt on neck, rosewood fingerboard, two vintage lipstick tube pick ups adjustable bridge, the tuners are better than on the 1998 models, sliver sparkle finish. No case or gig bag supplied

I'll only say this once, for the money this bass cost's, this thing is a killer! There are two controls on the bass, they are stacked, tone/volume. There are clear highs and growling lows, and a lot of great sounds in between. The only thing I think I'll change, and that's down the road, are the pot's, they make some noise, and feel a little cheesey.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
It's hard to say a lot in this catagory, I mean we're not talking a $2500.00 bass here. For what you get the action, fit and finish are really quite nice. My first choice would not be silver sparkle, but when you're a lefty and it's in stock you take what you can get. The bass only comes in one other color, black. I was suprised at how nice the fret job was I picked up basses that cost three times as much and felt the edges of the frets. The neck is seated nicely into the body, and has a smooth satin finish which is easy to play.

Reliability/Durability : 8
At $280.00 I'd have no problem taking this bass out and playing the hell out of it, I feel it could take it and then some. There are Danelectros from the 60's still working every night, and that say's a lot to me.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't delt with them, don't expect to

I just came back to playing bass after 10 years, and I only wanted to pick up something that I could knock around with, I got much more than I thought I could afford. Everyone who has played these babies is shocked at how great they sound, feel and are put together. I have been playing acoustic guitar for the better part of 35 years, and the only thing I've changed over to are Elixer strings, they are made by the Goretex company, I put a set of these on the DC bass, and they're a wonderful combination. They have a coating on them, and they play really smooth, are easy on my fingers, and reduce fret wear. I love them, and my new bass.
